With the pound at current levels the divi would have been 17.4p if conversion were done today. Let's hope the next one gets a more favourable conversion rate still.

Oil price

After showing its head above the parapet of $80 yesterday Brent fell back and settled down 44c, this morning both crudes are back some more from what had been the top of the trading range. As they might have said in Dad’s Army, they dont like it up there…

A mixed bag of reasons though, continued supply shortages across the board keep the market tight although the API stats after the bell showed a build across the board, hence the fall this morning. Also China is a mixed bag, still importing plenty of crude but there are worries about the economy.

The storm season continues and the latest one is named Teresa, and with only two names left on the list it looks like they are going to need a bigger list…

Buy back to take out 13 million shares and then quarterly dividends of 11p per share is what we need.Share price had a slight pull back yesterday and stayed flat today. The traders on this share have worked out how to trade this down to a T.... with big lumps stuck on buy and sell side as a indicator to buy or sell.Lions tomorrow we rise to test 211 again.Up the lions

OPEC+ Will Be Unwilling And Unable To Stop The Oil Price Rally

By Irina Slav - Sep 28, 2021, 7:00 PM CDT
Few could have predicted that after an already extensive bull run this year amid recovering demand, oil prices had much further to go. And yet, the world’s most traded commodity just got a major boost from the gas crunch in Europe and Asia, prompting forecasters to update their forecasts. One of the most bullish of all observers has been Goldman Sachs, whose commodity analysts have stuck to their price target of $80 for Brent crude regardless of the resurgence of Covid-19 in many key markets and other bearish events. Now, these analysts have raised their target to $90, arguing that oil has entered a structural bull market.

In a note from earlier this week, the Goldman commodities team noted the sizeable drawdowns in oil stocks, which currently stand at around 4.5 million bpd and which are the biggest daily drawdowns ever recorded, are one of the factors driving the shift from a cyclical to a structural market.

No Sbb1x droning on about how much the oil draw would be?

Of course not as they've disappeared cos they got it wrong and there wasn't an oil draw:-)

I wonder how long it will be before some of the Opec+ break ranks and start pumping more oil to take advantage of the high OP?
