NHS are there to protect US,not the other way round.If they can pay senior MANAGERS 270K a year and employ scores of Diversity Executives on large salaries,then I am afraid they lose the public's sympathy.NHS needs reforming not an endless supply of cash to squander while millions are waiting for Cancer screening,heart treatments and have you tried making an appointment with your GP lately?

I agree with you H7, particularly about HS2, but my point is, we all need to chip in and after using your ISA and your £2,000 dividend allowance, then an extra 1.5% doesn’t seem a great hardship.

Mind you, holding GKP shares should mean we will all probably be paying the extra 1.5% 😔👍😆

Remember the well hit TD before the company suspended operations. What oil shows were in the drill cuttings again I don't know.
Could they move up hole and see if there's oil higher up ???

Just in case you missed it.

SH13 NEWS.

After nearly 2 weeks of testing and using various methods the well won't flow oil.
The ESP has been fitted but this hasn't helped.

Potential options ???

Comeback up the well to first case point and sidetrack in a different direction ???

Abandon the well and fit the pump to another well.

Opinion.

This could have implications for SH14 that's currently drilling from the same pad.

Bumpkin , I totally agree we need to reduce debt. So presumably thats why the Civil Service all got large pay increases and bonuses and MP's were in for 8% ( until someone with some sense had a whisper in their collective ear ).

Cancel HS2 , cut foreign aid , cancel Brexit and save the £100 billion we will be paying the EU over the next 10 years because we cant afford it. Dont get me started on the NHS , its just a political football.

WE all pay enough tax as it is. Except these idiots keep screwing up and we are paying for it.

I don’t often disagree with you H7, but the last few years has seen massive government spending so we need to start reducing our deficit and protecting the NHS. Anybody who has dividends outside their ISA can surely afford an extra 1.5% in tax 🤷‍a94;️

Good morning Kman,

I assume the early indications from the drill (cuttings returned) showed oil - albeit heavy. The amount of oil being returned in the cuttings, or even flowing, must therefore have been enough for someone to make the judgement call "get the string back up and fit the pump FFS". You wouldn't fit an ESP to a well / string that didn't indicate it would be worth it.

The fact that the well wouldn't flow at the end of the day, or wouldn't flow ENOUGH back to surface, indicates to me at least that the viscosity of formation fluids down there may be much more mixed than they first thought - I mentioned the other day about the 11API zone.

Just a thought.

KHOR MOR gets $250m Financing from DFC
9th September 2021 in Iraq Oil & Gas News

Pearl Petroleum, the consortium led by Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum of the UAE, has signed a $250 million financing agreement with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to support the gas expansion works currently under way at the Khor Mor gas plant in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

DFC is the development finance arm of the U.S government and proceeds from the 7-year DFC financing will support an increase in gas production capacity by 50% to 690 million standard cubic feet (scf)/day to meet rising demand for clean natural gas for electricity generation and industry in the KRI. The total project cost is $630 million and the remaining financing has already been secured through a regional bank facility and the EPC contractor.

The KM-250 project is the first stage of a two-train expansion project at Khor Mor that aims to boost total production capacity to approach 1 billion scf/day. Work resumed in April 2021 after onsite construction was halted last year due to the COVID pandemic and is currently on track for completion by April 2023.

Total investment by Pearl Petroleum at Khor Mor to date exceeds US$2.1 billion with total cumulative production of over 341 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe) in natural gas and liquids. The uninterrupted supply of gas to power plants in Erbil, Chemchemal and Bazian has resulted in significant fuel cost savings and economic benefits for the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as a whole.

The gas produced to date has enabled emissions savings of 42 million tonnes of CO2 by displacing diesel fuel in power generation in the KRI, thereby making a major contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution in the region as well as supporting the transition to better energy sources to tackle global climate change.
