Think they will try very hard to keep it under ,200,as a strong psychological cue for retail to buy...Don't think they will hold that very long ,as time is ticking for them to acquire as much stock as they can down here If 200 pops then off it goes imo

This week? Mmmm .Perhaps..it's certainly now very close.AGM re elects all directors, and will trigger a buyback in market , a very very illiquid market.Any BUYER won't like that at all , the target company buying in more stock , competing in the same mkt for very little free stock .So any day for Hostile to move in public imo"TAKEOVER at MONUMENTAL premiumIMMINENTTHIS WEEKHence nutters bashing here constantly in a frenzyHold BUY as MANY MORE AS more as you can"

The GKP share buyback of upto 10 percent of all outstanding GKP shares, which will then be retired by the company, will control an ex Dividend share price drop off.

This will run in conjunction with the other following positive factors, namely:-

1) Reinvestment by PIs & others that can, into free GKP shares from two GKP dividends on 2/7 & 6/8.

2) The very straight forward re entry into Shaikan 13 which was previously drilled & will produce an initial upsurge to 50000 BOPD, before GKP then push on for 55000 BOPD.

Peel hunt set a GKP share price target of 275p on 11/6 for these very reasons ;-)

Sbb. This share doesn't seem to follow the usual pattern. The last dividend payment was 11.6p (2/3 of the year's total) and the qualifying date was 20/9/19. There doesn't appear to have been a big drop when that date came, even for a bigger payment. The explanation is possibly the price control in place so expecting to buy cheaper after the qualifying date may not happen.

:-) Assuming you can get hold of any.

Crude oil has climbed to its highest price in nearly three years as the pandemic recedes and global demand soars.

U.S. crude oil was $71.50 a barrel on Monday -- its highest price since October 2018 -- and Brent crude oil, the international benchmark, topped $73 a barrel.

Oil price climb continues as expectations for more Iranian crude exports fade
By ELIZABETH LOW AND RAKTEEM KATAKEY on 6/14/2021

(Bloomberg) --Oil hit a 32-month high as the rollout of coronavirus vaccines boosted demand expectations for Europe and the U.S., and confidence faded over a quick return of Iranian crude supply.

Futures rose 0.9% in New York, building on a run of three weekly gains. Iran’s foreign ministry said Monday there was “very little time left” for world powers to resolve outstanding differences to revive a 2015 nuclear deal, even though an agreement was in place to remove sanctions on the country’s energy sector. Iran goes to presidential elections this week.

There were expectations a deal to lift Iranian oil sanctions would be in place ahead of the vote, said Giovanni Staunovo, a commodity analyst at UBS Group AG. “That seems not to be the case anymore.”

Agreed Steephill:))Thank you K4N4K & yes I am & have been for well over a decade.I have also increased my GKP holding tenfold over the last 18 months. The GKP Double Dividends which will be paid in 19 & 54 days (just 35 days apart) will be reinvested by myself into free GKP shares to grow my stake further.I am also looking forward to the GKP share buyback of upto 10 percent of all outstanding GKP shares, which will then be retired by the company, to grow my portfolio value further. It is not rocket science...I merely follow the lead of the huge institutions continually buying; holding & increasing their percentage stakes in GKP.I also follow the lead of the current GKP Board Directors who are insiders & have bought GKP shares.I also follow the lead of the ex CEO & ex CFO of GKP who were insiders & chose to vest into GKP shares just a few days ago, rather than taking life changing tax paid lump sums of money instead.I now follow the lead of the new GKP CEO Jon Harris, who is a man on a mission to balance investment in growth together with returns to shareholders, as the board develop and realise value from the Shaikan Field for the benefit of all stakeholders. They all clearly think GKP are Golden Tickets & like you, so do I ;-)

For clarification to all readers of this thread...

The moderator of The New GKP / Drilling for Supergiants thread has always been Frenchboy24 who has been around for well over a decade.

gkpinvestor is a blue paid ADVFN subscriber who constantly deramps on GKP, however Frenchboy24 cannot moderate or ban him from this thread, because his blue paid ADVFN subscription prevents that from happening.

However, please note that he is FILTERED & IGNORED by all genuine GKP PI long term investors on this thread ;-)
