Agreed, hearts. I think the Brent average for Jan 16 was over $30, though, so some heavy discounting going on. I know these payment updates aren't mandatory, but GKP are probably the most opaque of the IOCs if you're trying to reconcile production to revenue.

Oilman, I'm having lunch with an old friend in a couple of weeks, who's currently a Chief Superintendent. No doubt the conversation will drift onto how the police decide how to allocate their scarce resources :))

The $5.8m was gross - the 40% infrastructure tax on profit oil has to be taken into account.Of course Brent was at a low Jan 16 and the Kurd discount was high. Reality was they were producing oil for turnover, it wasn't commercial at those prices. Again people need to focus on what is commercially recoverable and what is theoretically recoverable. Oil is higher now but net profit is kept very quiet.

Yes, ss, when they deign to tell us the split. Jan 16 was $5.8m PSC entitlement - ie. actual production/exports - the rest was arrears and govt contribution.

$5.8m for approx 1m barrels?

I think it was $250 mill by April 17 JB ? how that came about was to be done by Oct. Instead he got $500 mill knocked off the books by Aug.
