01/11/2007 10:41 | well done sat, did you trade on diret market access platform? | watwungyi
01/11/2007 10:31 | Couldn't wait - that's me out at 1247p - May prove to be the high of the day. | sat69
01/11/2007 10:06 | we would be there soon sat. i am sticking with 1280 - 90. already closed my cfd position, but cash account is still open. if no buying opportunity came along the way, i'll keep this open. i am feeling as if there is going to be a sharp correction. stocks' been up on the hope of 'agreesive' rate cut. but yesterday cut seems to me the last one. inflation pressures are clearly building up. starting to be visible in yesterday data. so i am selling out some of my bond funds this week for cash funds. it might be good to keep a good amount of cash again or hold already distressed blue chips like gsk or drax, the latter is already up a whole pound since i decided to buy and wait for cash proceeds. | watwungyi
01/11/2007 09:49 | All over the place this morning. If we hit 1250p - I'm out. | sat69
31/10/2007 21:12 | The AZN figs will have some impact on GSK - not sure whether that'll be good or bad though! | sat69
31/10/2007 20:53 | yeah it looks good. i hope fed stops cutting rate. i may sell it if it shoots to 1280 level. and wait for azn which is reporting tomorrow. i already hold some of them. | watwungyi
31/10/2007 19:17 | There you go - as widely expected, we got a 0.25% rate cut, and the markets are liking it. Still got 40 mions of trading to go though, but looking good for tomorrow so far. | sat69
31/10/2007 16:51 | i think bernanke will keep the rate on hold. it woulb be good for dollar earners. | watwungyi
31/10/2007 16:40 | It's already factored in though Watwun. In fact, the U.S Dollar may even strengthen as there could be a general consensus that there is only one more 0.25% cut gonna take place. | sat69
31/10/2007 15:04 | i think us interest rate cut works against gsk as its income is mostly in dollars. | watwungyi
31/10/2007 12:38 | Yep - Thats 13p bagged with the divi - now we need a strong DOW this afternoon to get the share price back up to £13 | sat69
31/10/2007 11:29 | very impressive indeed. ex-div knocked off 1%. | watwungyi
31/10/2007 11:20 | there were a tranche of 800 shares bought at each offer price on level 2. interesting. | watwungyi
31/10/2007 11:18 | very impressive share price performance on xd day | taffee
31/10/2007 09:37 | Sat Keep the sell limit at let's say 1300, then keep trigger buy limit with another broker at 1315. then if new drug approval came in and the share price rocketed, you would only miss 15 points. Lol! | watwungyi
30/10/2007 16:36 | The continued heavy share buyback is currently supporting the share price Not sure how long it will last though. | sat69
30/10/2007 16:35 | Wat The only problem with that is that sometimes the share price can rocket up on the release of some positive news, and your limit price has taken you out at a much lower price you would have otherwise got. ...we did get the Yanks buying again today, but it fizzled out! :-( | sat69
30/10/2007 13:05 | the best thing is to set a limit sell at your target price then go out to have fun or do something else. the market will take care of itself. i try not to waste time on watching the paint dry. | watwungyi
30/10/2007 10:26 | Sat69 Agree, RBS - good div + growth. am holder. | w.bramley
30/10/2007 10:26 | .GSK - L2 shows plenty of buying interest, but not much progress. | w.bramley
30/10/2007 08:23 | Morning all, Looks like we will have to wait till the afternoon when the Yanks come in to buy... | sat69
29/10/2007 23:09 | or if you want exposure to financials, bpw, which i bought last week, is a good investment trust with a great manager with proven record. | watwungyi
29/10/2007 22:49 | sat, i was thinking of exactly the same. i want to add rbs, experian, pfd, wpp and buy dvsg, drax(though drax is less cheaper now) and tate with the proceeds. i already have azn and biffa as well. but gsk seems too irresistable, with rising div and div cover(2). but mind you rbs could be even cheaper. gl, | watwungyi |
