11/9/2023 09:18 | Saw a FB ad by gsk informing everyone about shingles, so it looks like gsk jabs may be given on that market. (UK lowering age for shingles jab). Millions of extra jabs there every year. | pierre oreilly
11/9/2023 08:52 | More than caught up with the ADRs' close (+5.7%). | patientcapital
11/9/2023 08:32 | Off to a strong start again | theoriginalwonderstuff
10/9/2023 19:43 | Or perhaps a new fund building a position, or existing fund adding? I agree the rise looks too sharp to be simple rotation. It will be interesting to see if the share price holds, or even builds, on Friday's movement in the week ahead. Fingers crossed :) | lovewinshatelosses
09/9/2023 13:32 | Thank you for that. Might explain the 4% (cf AZ which was only up 0.2% on Friday). | theoriginalwonderstuff
09/9/2023 09:35 | Market report in the Mail cites an industry report published predicting the global vaccine market to grow to £74bn by 2028 from £45bn today. GSK being the number one vaccine maker."Cheap" was one of my thoughts yesterday. | patientcapital
09/9/2023 09:20 | Anything "on the wires" about the rise yesterday?? | theoriginalwonderstuff
08/9/2023 22:53 | nice to see one share go up today that i have.. | lippy4
08/9/2023 20:34 | Think 5% is more than a rotation.Interesting though. | watfordhornet
08/9/2023 19:22 | The ADR in this case means the US listing of this company. Which is up over 5%, at the time of print. I have no idea for the rise either. Perhaps a market rotation into healthcare stocks? Frankly, I do not care. Just nice to be in a paper profit again in this one. So much for my quick trade! Let us hope for more of the same next week. Another 90p or so and I will have a decision to make :) | lovewinshatelosses
08/9/2023 19:15 | NYSE:GSK trade as American Depositary Receipts (ADRs).Still no news I've seen. | patientcapital
08/9/2023 18:12 | What's ADR? What's the reason for today's leap in sp | alibizzle
08/9/2023 17:57 | ADRs continuing higher. | patientcapital
08/9/2023 16:30 | I think that would generate a larger share price rise than a takeover (just messing, but you take my point)... | theoriginalwonderstuff
08/9/2023 16:17 | Emma resigning? | watfordhornet
08/9/2023 15:39 | About to get taken over?? | theoriginalwonderstuff
08/9/2023 15:23 | Hoping it becomes pleasantly more usual from now on! | rikky72
08/9/2023 15:21 | This is pleasantly unusual. I wonder if legal word is about re Zantac. Stake building? Or just cheap? | patientcapital
08/9/2023 13:50 | US Pre Market Up 2.2% | garycook
08/9/2023 13:27 | Don't speak too soon...America hasn't opened yet :) | panache1
08/9/2023 11:45 | Hopefully 1400 finally left for dust | spoole5
06/9/2023 14:43 | Instead of counting sheep read the GSK Pension report, 172 pages. Very complex indeed. The key is to look at the plan funds versus the actuarial liability. Quite difficult to spot but this seems to be the summary - The Scheme's funding deficit was expected to be eliminated by 2027. These arrangements were formalised in a Schedule of Contributions which the Scheme actuary certified on 25 March 2022. During the year under review deficit repair contributions of £446.8m were accelerated. The next triennial valuation is at 31 December 2023. | alphorn
06/9/2023 09:51 | I think it's also a reflection of the poor performance of UK PLC in general. Only 2 UK companies make it into the global top50 in terms of market cap. Low investment and productivity are where we are and I don't see things turning around anytime soon. | rikky72
06/9/2023 09:32 | Once upon a time Novo Nordisk and GSK were peers. Now 6 times the market cap-shows what a wonderful CEO and board we have. | cumnor
06/9/2023 09:18 | Along with most too though. Ugly day but hopefully we stay above 1350. Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt |
