Saw a FB ad by gsk informing everyone about shingles, so it looks like gsk jabs may be given on that market. (UK lowering age for shingles jab). Millions of extra jabs there every year.

I agree the rise looks too sharp to be simple rotation.
It will be interesting to see if the share price holds, or even builds, on Friday's movement in the week ahead. Fingers crossed :)

Market report in the Mail cites an industry report published predicting the global vaccine market to grow to £74bn by 2028 from £45bn today. GSK being the number one vaccine maker."Cheap" was one of my thoughts yesterday.

The ADR in this case means the US listing of this company. Which is up over 5%, at the time of print. I have no idea for the rise either. Perhaps a market rotation into healthcare stocks? Frankly, I do not care. Just nice to be in a paper profit again in this one. So much for my quick trade!
Let us hope for more of the same next week. Another 90p or so and I will have a decision to make :)

Instead of counting sheep read the GSK Pension report, 172 pages. Very complex indeed.
The key is to look at the plan funds versus the actuarial liability. Quite difficult to spot but this seems to be the summary - The Scheme's funding deficit was expected to be eliminated by 2027. These arrangements were formalised in a Schedule of Contributions which the Scheme actuary certified on 25 March 2022. During the year under review deficit repair contributions of £446.8m were accelerated. The next triennial valuation is at 31 December 2023.

I think it's also a reflection of the poor performance of UK PLC in general. Only 2 UK companies make it into the global top50 in terms of market cap. Low investment and productivity are where we are and I don't see things turning around anytime soon.

Once upon a time Novo Nordisk and GSK were peers. Now 6 times the market cap-shows what a wonderful CEO and board we have.
