03/6/2023 23:11 | This paper brings up the Sargon case which is worth being familiar of | berny3
03/6/2023 08:03 | The uncertainty will likely persist for a longer time because there is bound to be a lengthy 'appeal' process, whichever way it goes..... ;0( | tradermichael
02/6/2023 10:17 | I got back in on Tuesday, after being out since just before the split. Sold at a significant loss today so I can get back to sleeping at night. The bit that kept me awake was when I read that some of these 'class actions' would end up in front of a jury if the judge clears them for trial. GSK versus The People just doesn't sound good. When all this uncertainty blows over I believe the company will thrive, I just don't have the will, or time, to see it through. Good luck to all who sail in her | jonjoneil
02/6/2023 08:04 | That would suggest management competence. | spoole5
01/6/2023 17:37 | Could it be possible that GSK would have insurance to cover any financial liabilities from Zantac claims? | jonjoneil
01/6/2023 15:40 | Agree, it's a big risk.. | rikky72
01/6/2023 15:22 | Question is - even if the scientific evidence shows no proven link between Zantac and some types of cancer, can you trust the American legal system to do the right thing? Remember how they screwed BP a few years back. Justice it ain't | jonjoneil
01/6/2023 14:18 | Zantac's final bad news round the corner, maybe it is the reason for the daiySP drop . | abdullla
31/5/2023 20:06 | I can also think of a few that actually went bust too...but like you say, a good example of equality in failure :) Also in common is the type of background most CEOs have - but probably enough politics for one evening. Anyway, like ITV (where I have a low average, just like here at the time of print) I think I am going to make a profit here...as long as I do, then that is as far as my thinking goes. The game is the game, as Omar in The Wire said. Cannot change it. Good luck trying if you want to :) | lovewinshatelosses
31/5/2023 19:45 | maybe they are dumping the shares instead | jonjoneil
31/5/2023 19:16 | The CEO has failed, All the frankly ridiculous clichés spouted from the CEO about unlocking value, "new GSK" "leadership" , careful capital allocation is pure spin. The share price is £13.48 from ca £16.60 in 2017 when the CEO was appointed, The dividend has been cut, the market doesn't believe in the pipeline, the CEO or the leadership team . Six years plus under this CEO is too much time already. Why are the big institutional investors looking to dump the CEO and leadership team? | fidepax1
31/5/2023 18:17 | Just shows female CEOs are just as rubbish as male ones. Look at ITV, AV. VOD etc etc.So much for positive discrimination. | chachacha
31/5/2023 17:38 | Looking at the massive difference in share price between GSK and AZN, I thought some of it would be due to the relative number of shares in issue. I was amazed to see the figures GSK - 2.02 billion (after the split) against AZN - 3.09 billion. Can someone correct me if I am wrong? | jonjoneil
31/5/2023 14:44 | Wonder if Emma will get a bonus! What was the price when she took over? | spoole5
31/5/2023 13:27 | How about: 'GSK - Abandon hope of long term gains...just trade the dog!' Or is that too jazzy? :) | lovewinshatelosses
31/5/2023 13:18 | Yes its looks like the low 1300's are coming! | gswredland
31/5/2023 11:51 | Just add the word hope to the end 😂 | tuftymatt
31/5/2023 11:50 | Anyone suggest a more appropriate title to this thread? 'Glaxosmithkline - The recovery' doesn't make any sense | jonjoneil
31/5/2023 08:02 | This morning would suggest that it has further South to go... ?... | theoriginalwonderstuff
31/5/2023 08:02 | Emma gone yet? | spoole5
31/5/2023 06:56 | Good luck to you to LWHL (& others who hold stock here)... | theoriginalwonderstuff
30/5/2023 21:26 | I was targeting a bit higher originally, but in this market, think that level is probably more sensible. With my purchase today, 14.50 ish would now net me a fairly satisfactory return - but if we see a little run, I might hold on for 15 quid or so nonetheless. Dividend while we wait is nice. Similar to you, willing to buy more if/when the more bearish scenario plays out. North of 6% dividend then as well potentially. Anyway, not a dull market while we wait to see how these ideas play out! Good luck theoriginal and other fellow holders. | lovewinshatelosses
30/5/2023 19:49 | LWHL..I dipped my toe in today. It's either going to fall massively from here or return back to the £14.50 mark... If it's the latter, 5% for very little effort... If it's the former, well I'll be watching it closely to buy a bigger tranche... | theoriginalwonderstuff |
