“Although we see this as positive for GSK, the key question is whether MDL cases refile elsewhere in state courts,” Bank of America wrote, raising concerns on cases pending in California, which is “generally thought of as a more plaintiff friendly jurisdiction.”

The analysts led by Graham Parry wrote that the decision tossed out about a third of all Zantac claimants and added that most of the remaining cases are pending in Delaware State Court, where the team sees further dismissals due to weaker evidence.

Arguing that the decision halved its base-case Zantac-related liability in the model for GSK (GSK), the analysts raised the price target on the stock to $36.20. However, Bank of America maintains the Underperform rating on GSK due to multiple factors, including a weak pipeline and an upcoming patent cliff.

This is what I assume. This out the way and the fact is UK PLC has another asset all primed for takeover. I do wonder if a bidder emerges how politically toxic it will be. GSK moving out of West London to Switzerland or the States would be quite a sad day for the UK

Didn't buy these to trade. Was happy holding under 1400, and even happier around 1500. Wake me up when it gets to 1800.Long term hold defensive play, with one major hurdle now over.

Yeah I agree TM. It's an early Christmas present for many so why not take it.

I am happy to be out right now but will take a position again all be it a smaller one to start off with.

There's much jumping off the ship, more from relief at getting money back than profit taking, I suspect.

Once this is over, the price will likely stabilise.

A bit slow on the trigger this morning. Saw it was at 16 quid, by the time I had logged in and sold it had fallen to 15.875. But as the top was 16.09, fairly pleased with that.

I have set a stop loss at 1531 but hopefully it's not hit.

Having averaged down a great deal I don't want to see that gain erode if we go into some sort of year end decline and with the divi to come too that's a good short term return in my mind.

People new something was coming out today I suspect yesterday and sold! Being scared I was fully loaded with GSK shares so cheap and happy to see this
