26/11/2022 19:11 | Musk seems to do Ok in a single company. Maybe a few billion in a few companies, but basically single company investing. | pierre oreilly
26/11/2022 19:08 | Thanks for being honest Ali and yeah my rule of thumb is no more than 3% of my portfolio in one stock. Also I would buy 1.5% initially and keep some back to add on dips which nearly always happens. My position here isn't profitable at the moment but now averages 1460 from an initial entry in August at 1650 before it tanked!! I have done what you have done in the past and got burned badly so I feel your pain. Hang in there and average down with your dividends if you can and I am sure you will get out clean in the end 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
26/11/2022 18:56 | Blimey. I've never heard anyone do that. ONE STOCK investing... Almost beyond unbelievable. I suppose if I was an ex-employee of GSK I might do it - if I got the shares via a share option scheme. But apart from that, I cant imagine anyone having a strategy like that apart from Bitcoin investors or Tesla or Gamestop etc. | netcurtains
26/11/2022 17:03 | I sold those shares and took a break but decided , pre split , that I wouldn't get better interest payments than a dividend so bought back in . | alibizzle
26/11/2022 15:55 | Alibizzie: Not sure I understand. You originally said: " Alibizzle - 10 Nov 2021 - 18:07:38 - 28855 of 31207 If I sell now will I lose my dividend payments this time round or is it locked in? Bought at £15.50 a year ago is it worth waiting until it gets to £17 or is that unlikely " -------------------- | netcurtains
26/11/2022 14:07 | I went all in with nearly all my savings . I should have listened to financial advisor and not pit all eggs in one basket . Been stressful since then , down around £16k if i sell now . Still could be worse I guess . If haleon are bought then I could bring back some losses bit of they fall as predicted I'm even deeper on the mire . | alibizzle
26/11/2022 08:33 | Did you buy back in the summer Ali when it was circa £18? I think it has every chance of getting there again but it may take some time. Can you add / average down or did you go all in at £18? | tuftymatt
25/11/2022 21:03 | Yeah I'm going to stick it out for dividends and hope gets.abovr £18 to break even #allin | alibizzle
