This is quite a big move by the US FDA.

New medicines need not be tested in animals to receive U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval, according to legislation signed by President Joe Biden in late December 2022. The change—long sought by animal welfare organizations—could signal a major shift away from animal use after more than 80 years of drug
safety regulation.
In place of the 1938 stipulation that potential drugs be tested for safety and efficacy in animals, the law allows FDA to promote a drug or biologic—a larger molecule such as an antibody—to human trials after either animal or non-animal tests.

It is a very complex area and for example, animal tissue could be used in tox studies - it is just that the animal is dead.

I sold out back then but am in again with a 1418 average.
As TM says it has a nice divi and I am sure can tick up from here given time and a bit of positive product / legal news!!

WuXi Biologics Inc - China-based contract research, development & manufacturing organisation, offering end-to-end biologics solutions - Enters into a license deal with GSK PLC for one preclinical bi-specific T cell engaging antibody and the option of three additional bi- & multi-specific TCE antibodies developed using WuXi Biologics' proprietary technology platforms. Says WuXi Biologics will get an upfront payment of USD40 million and tiered royalties on net sales.

WuXi Biologics Chief Executive Officer Chris Chen says: "We are looking forward to enabling GSK to bring these potentially life-saving therapeutics to more patients worldwide."

Do we know why GSK is going down while more or less the entire FTSE100 is going up? Is there some bad news broken somewhere that is not common knowledge?
