04/12/2011 02:32 | 28/11/2011 07:00 UKREG Cancellation - Group NBT Plc Pity really, I had rather enjoyed my time on this thread over the years posting large pictures tormenting Haystack. Bye bye NBT. | exotic
23/9/2011 18:44 | offer is TOO little; shall vote against for my modest holding. | mw8156
23/9/2011 11:23 | NBT takeover throws the spotlight on Top Level Domain Holdings TLDH has been waiting and preparing intently for a fundamental shake-up of the internet announced earlier this year by ICANN, the industry body in charge of these things. Shares in Top Level Domain Holdings (LON:TLDH) were higher in early trade as internet rival NBT (LON:NBT) revealed it had received a takeover bid from the private equity firm HG Capital. The deal, which values NBT at 153 pence, throws the spotlight on the entire sector, according to broker Daniel Stewart. | lucky_punter

23/9/2011 11:16 | I'm sure I was buying this at 4p about 10 years ago. Another one that got away. Good Luck. | gerryjames
23/9/2011 09:36 | A quick look at the results suggests the offer is around 12* operating cash flow.My spreadsheet which is of course an estimate looks like 9* next years cash flow.I would have looked for 10* next years cash flow so around 610p.Still can't complain too much in the present climate. | serratia
23/9/2011 06:39 | Hmm. Got a bunch of these. The 550p offer seems a bit mean given the success of the French acquisition and the boost next year from the new domain names. They need 75% approval for the scheme but unfortunately it's 75% of shareholders voting at the meeting so it will probably go through. Will have to think about it. | wjccghcc
22/6/2011 08:10 | serratia, You would have thought so but the latest announcement does not sem to have done TLDH much good, share price fallen 25% in a few days.Expectation was that applications would be accepted from September and now this has been put back to Jan 2012, so this may be having short term affect, plus some profit taking ? Things appear more stable here - hope it lasts ! | par555
20/6/2011 12:16 | Assume this will benefit NBT. | serratia
11/3/2011 14:35 | WJCC - looks like we go for the same sort of cos. | droid
11/3/2011 14:12 | Have some already thanks. | wjccghcc
11/3/2011 14:08 | WJCC - FYI, have re-invested in JDG. | droid
10/3/2011 18:43 | Likewise. They have strong underlying growth but the lumpy effect of domain acquisitions seems to be distorting the headline figures. Be interesting to see if it evens out in the finals. | wjccghcc
10/3/2011 09:02 | somewhat underwhelmed - topsliced half. | supersturrock
09/3/2011 16:09 | It's not very liquid so I'm not sure how useful charts are. We'll find out tomorrow. | wjccghcc
09/3/2011 16:03 | Uptrend broken ? Not looking too healthy ahead of tomorrow's results. | droid
21/12/2010 16:21 | Delayed reaction to the French acquisition. I added some at 365-380p after the announcement. If they can replicate their UK success, it should position them well to be the pan European market leader. | wjccghcc
21/12/2010 15:30 | very quiet share | burbelly
05/10/2010 16:17 | I have PBT of £9.01m for this coming year Numis have £8.9m so pretty close.I think it could run up to 465p before Dec 11,I'd be happy for a 20%+ gain in 12 months. | serratia
24/9/2010 13:45 | Tipped in press again-excellent growth BUY | nellie1973
24/9/2010 12:35 | This has been good hold for me since 2006, increasing share price by over 130%. I thought the results issued yesterday were good but not good enough to justify, in these markets for small caps listed on AIM , over 12% increase in share price yesterday and today to an all time high. Suspect something/rumour else behind such a sharp rise. | campbed
24/9/2010 12:06 | Thanks for your interesting analysis serratia that's very useful. I tend to look at a company's cash flow more than anything else these days. Been on my watch list for a long time but fell off the radar with other things going on. Will look to purchase on any fall back. | richied
24/9/2010 11:51 | A good set of results so here are a few comments. The market tends to look forward a year and I find it useful to look at share prices on a multiple of the following years cash flow.Profit figures often do not show the whole truth so cash flow works for me. Having said that NBT always have a nice clean set of figures. In 2007 the share price had a high of 10* the 2008 cash flow and a low of 5.9*.In 2008 it was 9.3 and 6.2*.In 2009 it was 9.2 and 5.4*.The market seems to value the company in the range say 9 to 6* cash flow. In order to look forward I have to estimate 2011 cash flow.As a first pass I took the growth rates of the various parts and just extended them to 2011 and came up with £11.25m cash flow.I haven't checked if any cash items drop out next year that's for the fine tuning. On this basis the range for calender year 2010 would be low 262p high 394p.To estimate 2011 range I need 2012 cash flow and of course this is harder as I look that far forward. As the company is growing I looked back at the increase in cash flow in previous years. In 2009/10 it grew 2.2m,in 2010/11 my spread sheet would indicate 1.83m (a bit low ?),my estimate drops down as 2.15m for 2011/12.If I take growth as 2.4m for 2012/13 I get the following. Calender year 2011 high 465p low 300p,2012 high 535p low 355p all based on the 9*.6* ratio. These figures would suggest 15 - 20% growth in the share price each year for the next two years. Of course things can change but the management say sales are still going well and the new domain names should add further volume. I'm happy to hold and would add if it fell back to 300p. Feel happy to comment if I've missed anything. | serratia |
