10/3/2016 13:16 | I am a contrarian through and through, but actually I do see this a/seekers issue as a positive going forward. Once the recently negotiated contracts have lapsed the world and countries will need security companies for more than in the recent past. So the amount of security work will actually surge over the coming years and gfs will be in a wonderful position to benefit. Also countries with existing contracts with gfs might say take a hit on the present one but the future ones will be very lucrative. I continue to buy. dyor regards active | srpactive
09/3/2016 20:52 | Again I agree, but used the situation to increase. dyor regards active | srpactive

09/3/2016 10:24 | I thought the results were okay, will be increasing later. Without the goodwill hit we would have produced £144m profit a 12% increase, just silly. dyor | srpactive
09/3/2016 10:08 | 11.5% down after final results. G4S, the world’s largest security company by revenue, said its pretax profit fell to GBP78.0 million from GBP128.0 million in 2014, hit by a GBP66.0 million goodwill charge it booked on businesses it has sold and on one of its operations in Estonia. G4S also increased provisions against onerous legacy contracts in the UK, in particular its contract running centres housing asylum seekers for the Home Office, which has been put under pressure by the significant rise in the number of asylum seekers from Syria and the surrounding region that G4S has to house under the contract and the losses it makes on all those it takes in. The Board recommends a final dividend of 5.82p per share, it will be paid on 10 June 2016 to shareholders who are on the register on 29 April 2016. | enami

02/3/2016 11:14 | I have bought more here, I think by disposing of the children's division a line could be drawn under the troubles and investment and new management might be encouraged to return gfs to it's better times. dyor | srpactive

05/2/2016 09:00 | Yes here this morning, yes always on my radar, I sold last year at 296p after buying around 250p.
