The rules existed before the buybacks were
instituted. They should have seen that they
would be limited to feeble, useless, tiny
buybacks that were incapable of influencing
the share price. They would not be so limited
in instituting a dividend policy. Now that the
effect of the rules has become obvious even to
you, zoo, the BOD should make a policy change
that would bring in a whole new segment of
investors who will not buy into a share with
no yield.

Again, I am not seeking a dividend for the
cash payment itself, but for the effect that
it will have on the share price of my shares,
of which I have a substantial holding. You
keep trying to misrepresent my interest in
this issue. I will keep correcting you, not
because it will stop you twisting, but for
the benefit of other readers.

Yawn....... Slug and his dividends. :-))) If you want a dividend then sell and go and find a company that pays one and stop your pathic whining. Its very simple anyone with half a brain can work that out.Currently there is no DIVIDEND only BUYBACKS what can't you understand about that? Your whining won't change that. The share price is slipping because there is no fluidity in the shares and the market is waiting for the next update. Try and let the trend be your friend, if you understand that? The company is limited to buying back twenty-five percent of the available shares traded. Not their rules!

I think morst people here are going to agree with you, including me. However, share prices rise when demand exceeds supply and at the moment that is not the case. The risk of China and a single asset together with lack of clarity from the main holders on returns means there is no institutional demand

Griffin down again on RNS about feeble
buyback. Just serves as a reminder that
the failed policy is still being followed,
and that the word "dividend" in the year's
results was just there as decoration.

Lots of discussion about their dividend
over on the Anglo Asian Mining forum.
The AAZ share price is on the up again today
after the dividend announcement in their
results yesterday.

Confused again, zoo. You constantly mention
my late wife (not my ex) in a way very
disrespectful of the dead. I am not disturbed
by this. It's exactly what I expect of you. I
just point it out so that others may contrast
it with your "poor old alan, so sad having lost
his wife" theme. You pose as his protector but
attack others using every nasty slur you can
think of.

My ex-wife and current wife are approximately
my age, within a year or two. It was my late
wife (my second) who was quite a bit older.
Write it down so you can at least be accurately
nasty. Her age was obviously not an issue for me,
or for her, but I can see that you have a problem
with it.

My reading of the results RNS was that it was very much written by people who had reached the end of a long journey who had achieved their goals. The ball mill does 1.5m tonnes. We are potentially going in to a commodity super cycle. So come 2023 we will have record results and max output. If I was looking to exit it would have stuck in my craw to sell before the license having done all the work. A deal in 2023 would work well . All IMHO....It’s just what I would do especially if any buyer wanted to keep the existing management on for a year or so ( often needed to get the top sale price).

Never mentioned your ex wife you're the one who brings it up noone else. I don't think anyone is bothered about your life other than that you're socially selfish. I just say that you are into oldet women, was she twenty years older than you, or more maybe? You see Slug, you throw stones you then get them thrown back, then you pretend that you are some kind of shrinking violet. A leader of people, haha..... Get a life.......

Sage
Ninkov won’t be retiring until he has cashed in
He might be very wary that a successor could determine that the transfer of his options to a third party ( nudge nudge wink wink) for a peppercorn consideration wasn’t entirely pukka

Very happy with my life, of which this
lively forum plays a small part. Poke
away. Your disrespect towards my late wife
does not upset me, if that is your purpose
in continually referring to her as if she
were my current wife, but it hardly adds
to your own reputation in here. It's
actually rather amazing to watch you tear
yourself down.

Sage funny you say about taking a slight step back, he mentioned that to me in a conversation once that it could be a option given he enjoys his work but the traveling is not so much of an enjoyment even more these days! I hope if he does semi retire this is the option he takes. The selfish reason being it provides continuity which the shareholders would be happy with. Zoo

Zoo when it comes to Roger I tend to think more in terms of how I would be dealing with him were he my client. I am sure he will be receiving professional advice. He won't live for ever. His shares are out of his estate under BPR. If he sells it would need an RNS and in any event the shares are illiquid at that volume. He will want to work less. So what to do? He could sell the company and retain shares in the new entity (so Retire, receive a divi and still retain BPR) He could work less and get a junior to do the bulk of the work with reduced salary and a dividend. He could remain as is..for now! Whichever way I look at it I believe that in the next few years GFM will probably pay a dividend and that the directors will probably sell. We will see.

Alan,I think they're in the ball park clearly some of the figures are fluid to a degree but I'm happy that this will be very positive hence I've traded a few in order to increase my overall holding.Zoo

thank you sage I’ve decided to hang on to MATD for now, as for GFM I can’t be bothered to do anything about it ,I’ve no idea whether the figures that MWF and THE A have worked out will come true I find it never works out that way but good for them for trying, good luck,

So may I assume, Sage, that you are against
the amusing practice of "poking" as described
by one of the posters here? He seems to feel
that it is inevitable that it generates
responses, mostly not to do with Griffin.
I am neutral on the issue, and prepared to
take part when prompted.
