Rose, you just call one side every time, that's your problem its not balanced and as such it shows you up for what you are. That's why your posts on the subject have no support. Even your mate backed down from his argument that the vaccine gives total protection which is not that case..Rose, you say your right and everyone else including the science is wrong. Err I think not.. Kind of reminds me of David Icke another loser. One-sided arguments are made by fanatics because they fail to understand or believe they may be wrong. The sooner more people are vaccinated the more lives will be saved.

We sold the shares to Cerebus at a high price and bought them back at a cheap price
Good business even if it make the BoD a bit silly

Yes the overwhelming scientific evidence is that the vaccine is safe and very effective which we all knew. It's good to have it confirmed by the most cautious countries though. The countries who held back made an error of judgement which will have cost many lives and doesn't give much confidence in the way they are operating which bordered on reckless.

R - U might want to proof read the post above!!!! We'd all like to ban the virus!!!!

My point was not that the vaccine was not
safe, but that "following the science"
led 14 countries to ban it, causing a
huge fuss, and then reinstate it again.
This is because "the science" is not
monolithic. There is no Pope of science.
Science consists of many thousands of
intelligent, educated people arguing
the toss, forever.

I didn't expect the usual point-scorers
in here to get it, but maybe there were
some readers who did.

G5 one plays of the other. The company worth remains the same in the main. Problem with reducing issued shares opens the company to a hostile take over if a major shareholder jump in. Hence a lot leave them in treasury.Zoo

One wonders how they were allowed to do that,
but aren't supposed to have any influence on
buybacks. And I think you meant "appalling".

Mil, if you are referring to the time they bought Cerberus’s holding it was an appealing bit of business. Yes, reduced the shares in issue but decimated our cash.

And if you don't like the way the country is run,
don't complain or try to do anything about it,
like changing the people running it, just move
to another country.

Perhaps some on here will remember when the BoD pulled a master stroke when the price was in the doldrums and reduced total shares from circa 220 million down to under 180 million. That’s where a big chunk of the current value derives from so PLEASE stop whinging about the BoD. If you do not like the way the company is run I suggest it best to sell out and buy a company you like.

It is not allowed

$10 million is about 3% of the capitalisation
with the dollar at 1.39 to the pound. Assume
that successfully feeds into the share price

Whoop de doo.

Would not a 3% dividend create more excitement?
