18/3/2021 20:09 | We know the virus is not safe Rose. Must be statement of the year made by you Rose. :-)))) | zooman
18/3/2021 20:08 | Rose, you just call one side every time, that's your problem its not balanced and as such it shows you up for what you are. That's why your posts on the subject have no support. Even your mate backed down from his argument that the vaccine gives total protection which is not that case..Rose, you say your right and everyone else including the science is wrong. Err I think not.. Kind of reminds me of David Icke another loser. One-sided arguments are made by fanatics because they fail to understand or believe they may be wrong. The sooner more people are vaccinated the more lives will be saved. | zooman
18/3/2021 19:45 | They went a lot cheaper after they bought them! | gailes5
18/3/2021 19:41 | Gaines We sold the shares to Cerebus at a high price and bought them back at a cheap price Good business even if it make the BoD a bit silly | phillis
18/3/2021 19:38 | Yes the overwhelming scientific evidence is that the vaccine is safe and very effective which we all knew. It's good to have it confirmed by the most cautious countries though. The countries who held back made an error of judgement which will have cost many lives and doesn't give much confidence in the way they are operating which bordered on reckless. | amt
18/3/2021 19:31 | R - U might want to proof read the post above!!!! We'd all like to ban the virus!!!! | arphillips
18/3/2021 19:29 | My point was not that the vaccine was not safe, but that "following the science" led 14 countries to ban it, causing a huge fuss, and then reinstate it again. This is because "the science" is not monolithic. There is no Pope of science. Science consists of many thousands of intelligent, educated people arguing the toss, forever. I didn't expect the usual point-scorers in here to get it, but maybe there were some readers who did. | rose_by_another_name
18/3/2021 18:37 | zoo I think all of us bar one knew this a long time ago, good luck | alangriffbang

18/3/2021 18:07 | Have you noticed Rose is not posting reports the vaccine is not responsible for these's clots. Given how we were subjected to post after post about how bad it was?Funny that eh Rose? Word to the wise, you just make yourself look the fool......... | zooman
18/3/2021 18:05 | I did , a bit dark in my tent | gailes5
18/3/2021 18:02 | G5 one plays of the other. The company worth remains the same in the main. Problem with reducing issued shares opens the company to a hostile take over if a major shareholder jump in. Hence a lot leave them in treasury.Zoo | zooman
18/3/2021 17:49 | One wonders how they were allowed to do that, but aren't supposed to have any influence on buybacks. And I think you meant "appalling". | rose_by_another_name
18/3/2021 17:46 | Mil, if you are referring to the time they bought Cerberus’s holding it was an appealing bit of business. Yes, reduced the shares in issue but decimated our cash. | gailes5
18/3/2021 17:45 | Mill, well said. Good news about the vaccine and Italy common sense rules. Zoo | zooman
18/3/2021 17:40 | And if you don't like the way the country is run, don't complain or try to do anything about it, like changing the people running it, just move to another country. | rose_by_another_name
18/3/2021 17:40 | zoo boris was good today and Italy have restarted the AZ vaccine, all the proof that’s needed, good luck | alangriffbang
18/3/2021 17:39 | millwallfan here here, well said, | alangriffbang
18/3/2021 17:35 | Perhaps some on here will remember when the BoD pulled a master stroke when the price was in the doldrums and reduced total shares from circa 220 million down to under 180 million. That’s where a big chunk of the current value derives from so PLEASE stop whinging about the BoD. If you do not like the way the company is run I suggest it best to sell out and buy a company you like. | millwallfan
18/3/2021 17:15 | Couldn’t open it! | gailes5
18/3/2021 17:00 | G5, this gives you the rules on buybacks. For a ligh bit of reading.Look at article three paragraph three. Zoo https://eur-lex.euro | zooman
18/3/2021 16:49 | The BoD are not and cannot be in control of the process - as you infer It is not allowed | phillis
18/3/2021 16:43 | $10 million is about 3% of the capitalisation with the dollar at 1.39 to the pound. Assume that successfully feeds into the share price Whoop de doo. Would not a 3% dividend create more excitement? | rose_by_another_name |
