How exciting, Alan is thinking of removing his filter on me! Why can’t he see that he is missing out on some interesting posts? He assumes anything posted by his bete noires are rubbish or worse

Alan, just inbetween doing other things. The hold will change at some point. Remember SVE holds other shares as well as GGP so it's invertible that we will see these changes. What would be nice is if GGP and some of the others were to lift at the same time. :-). Zoo

Rose, the science is quite clear there is no corrolation between the 37 blood clots and 17m vaccinations. The vaccines has been produce from an existing vaccine. The cleaver part was the microbiologists had to find a Spike Protein that would attack the Covid19 virus. Yesterday I said DNA on rereading my post I realised it should have said RNA my typo error. If these countries now start to use the vaccine and my personal thought is that this is all political more than anything by the weekend your deluge of posts with links will make you look foolish. You would have been better to discuss your points rather than blindly posting post after post of links.

Hi zoo, I see you have had another busy morning ,I see GFM is trying to rise very slightly ,I laugh at SVE up again today again , it’s like the bridegroom waiting for the bride that never shows up , paddygall is very surprised at the hold put on GGP this morning I think he was expecting a lot more, gun and sunrise are both up a bit but I feel it’s one big long yawn, I seriously did consider lifting the filter on Gailes and up but definitely never on rosphill ,good luck to you keep smiling ,

I wouldn't have thought it would be worth a Government taking over a mine? The expertise needed to run one is unlikely to be something most governments possess and do they really need the hassle when they could just introduce a new tax to take profits that way?

Rose, on your scenario, it is not their cash to play with. As I keep saying the major shareholders will be calling the shots. While I appreciate you are only offering speculative guess I don’t think it will ever play out that way should we ever reach such a situation . An outright bid seems much more likely.

If the company were bought out in all likelihood the management team would be offered an incentive to stay on for a handover period as part of the deal which is common place. I also feel if there were an offer TODAY which would possibly be based on a plus thirty-percent plus of the current share price Clearly I would hope it would be rejected after an EGM but if todays share price were say 230p plus the margin on top I would like them to accept. Gailes- As I have already said, if the
company (Griffin) is taken over by the
Chinese, I doubt that the board would
remain in their well paid positions.
They've done the work, thanks, but now
the party will take control.

However, if the board sells the mine as
an asset, the Chinese can do what they
like with it while the Griffin board
remains in place with a whole lot of
cash to play with, a Bermudan company
no longer involved in China. I think
the BOD would much prefer that situation,
and maybe the Chinese would too.

I'm not advocating for it. I see it as a
risk to us shareholders.

The "unsubstantiated vaccine posts" were
links to stories in major news organs,
quoting established medical experts
and official sources. Mostly they were
contradicting themselves and each other,
which was the point I was making, but
it is simply false to try to portray them
as "unsubstantiated".

Rose, so what’s in it for the BOD on such a deal that would be better than just selling the whole company?

Rose.

How much is the mine currently worth?
I would venture several orders of magnitude greater than the current market cap.
Nice if we could get it!

It's functionally a toy, zoo.

Gailes- not talking about a management buyout,
but a sale of the company to some Chinese
entity, The People's Glorious March to Victory
in Zinc Production or some such. The directors
wouldn't have to come up with any money and the
shareholders wouldn't be involved or consulted.
The board would just sell the mine subsidiary
as an asset disposal. It makes as much sense as
an unknown Chinese entity launching a takeover
bid for Griffin. Maybe more.

I continue to post where, when , and as I
see fit. I dare you to fly your toy plane

you will. You clearly lack the courage.
Kiddy stuff, zoo.

I see no reason why the Chinese would want a
listing on a minor western market. They might
well want the mine, but if they took over Griffin
they would have to buy all the shares. Then what?
They would have a bunch of foreigners on the board
pocketing the profits and regulation by the UK
stock market. Better to just buy the Chinese
subsidiary that owns the mine. If they took over
Griffin, I think it would be to close Griffin
and run the subsidiary directly. I think the
directors would rather sell the subsidiary to
them and look for "other opportunities" with
the money.

Not if you take his options you don't. Why buy when you have options. Simples.....I do think it will be a chinese company that takes Griffin at some point as against a MBO and they will want it listed on a western market. IMHO.....

Are you calling for more information about
vaccines to be posted here, zoo? I thought
you were against it. Your chum used to repost
my posts all over other forums under fake names
resembling mine in an apparent effort to annoy.
It that what you are hoping for? Why?

Hi Alan, just catching up... I think they will give you the same as last time. I don't think they mix them up. I got Astra Zen. Have had a very bad reaction but it will pass and I wouldn't consider not having it. For me, and for everyone else...

I've learnt from this BB that filter exists!! FWIW, I've filtered one, and it has improved my experience exponentially. If I then skip the replies to the 'filtered' I reckon I get 95% of the good stuff - which is all good.

Transferable options was a new one on me. Wow. I had some mates hauled up in front of the Swiss regulators many years ago for using CFD's for stake building - completely legal - imagine what you could do with insiders with transferable options. The world can still amaze me. It's why my moniker used to be 'still learning after all this time'. I still am.

We have a world class resource in a tricky country. We all know that. Mercedes et al, do JV's with Chinese co's. They are a big part of the world's future. So if we sell, it will have a discount, whether to a Chinese or other bidder, but we are still world class.

You pays your money and you takes your choice. And then the market does whatever it wants!!
