25/2/2021 16:45 | One read of some of the posts on this page and you'd think gfm were in trouble, the company is no comparison to all the negative talk. Yes I've been in and out of GFM for years, I know how the options work, I've never been that happy about them. However the company is now in a different sphere and this is just the start. I had 160p short term target without all the news, my target now is over 300p and that's this year. | celeritas
25/2/2021 16:07 | I think that the giddy heights of 200/250p are out of the window in the short term. The BOD are exceedingly greedy and can be devious, so I suspect there is some hidden reason behind this. 10m$ is little support spread over3 years. More options coming up? You will remember a few years ago when the then existing options were running out of time and out of the money they canceled them and issued a new batch on vastly more favorable terms, for them not us. | gailes5
25/2/2021 14:39 | And the corollary- it isn't what it's not. But it could be. | rose_by_another_name
25/2/2021 13:52 | Sage good post, you say it as it is. People need to sit back and just let it happen, it will come. :-)Zoo | zooman
25/2/2021 13:50 | thank you sage ,have to dash to the chiropodist now ,will look again when I get back, good luck, | alangriffbang
25/2/2021 13:49 | Alan, it is what it is, we have the licence, we have the resource update the company have given a clear intention of carrying out buybacks. Now they're getting on with doing their job which is mining. The share price is going to float until they release figures but they have to do the work first. Until then there will be lots of silly and blank posts. At the end of the day people aren't forced to hold these shares unless they're trying to recover their losses.I'm happy with the situation as it stands.Zoo | zooman
25/2/2021 13:41 | Given the low volumes on which this share moves the share buy back scheme has great potential to support/ increase the share price There was a post a day or so ago regarding my views on copper. Essentially I am positive on all industrial commodities hence buying wisdom tree industrial metals fund. There is talk of a commodity super cycle and I can see the argument. I am not sure if we will see a super cycle but strong global demand post Covid would be supportive of commodities. Hence Tullow, GFM , Wisdom tree. A strong bounce will also help banks. Rotation is clearly happening. | sageman
25/2/2021 13:03 | Looks like the market reckons it has been sold a dummy. | rose_by_another_name
25/2/2021 12:37 | zoo not what I expected or wanted, I can’t see this rise will continue now not as much as I expected, I feel now I’ve moved far to much money across to here now that I am comfortable with ,will wait and see what happens in the next few days, good luck, | alangriffbang
25/2/2021 12:33 | Al, whist you have been out strolling about your Drax is taking a hit following the news for it Yorkshire operations | up just a little bit
25/2/2021 11:48 | Are we expecting a dip at the end of the tax year as profits are realised? | up just a little bit
25/2/2021 11:41 | The 1.8m trade is not related to the buyback. | spooky
25/2/2021 11:41 | Metals doing well again. Zinc up 1.67%. Copper looking good as well. | up just a little bit
25/2/2021 11:29 | Since the end of 2008 16m shares have been bought back. 9m have been issued through director share options over the same period and there are another 20m exercisable at 30/40p before 31/12/2022. Rather than see the share buy back as an alternative to dividends look at them as directors' bonuses. | mariopeter
25/2/2021 11:01 | An offer when we are at £2.50 or an offer of £2.50? | up just a little bit
25/2/2021 10:52 | I can't recall a buy back being stated in these terms. If they really want to buy 5m below £1.75ish they better get on with it. Its not much of a vote of confidence if they think thats the price that in 3 years! | makinbuks
25/2/2021 10:46 | Have to smile, the RNS is clear on intentions?, either hold or cancel the shares nothing about using them. They have always cancelled them at some point. This programme? in part is to reduce the amount of shares held by the general shareholders as they no longer require them. If they could get rid of us tomorrow I sure they would. There are also rules as to how many they can buy back at a given time. I also feel the time period provided is not worth worrying about how many years? Right! As things will change well before that. Either way the share price will go north, an MBO at 2.50p would be worth considering.Zoo | zooman
25/2/2021 10:40 | "...up to a value of $10 million to acquire up to five million ordinary shares over the next 3 years." straight pro-rata would be $2 / share At current exchange rates of £1 : $1.41 = £1.75 / share so, there's the initial price target this should get to quick enough | mattjos
25/2/2021 10:40 | Yes sorry 5 million over three years But surely not 1.8 million this morning | phillis
25/2/2021 10:33 | 10 million dollars not shares | katsy
25/2/2021 10:33 | That would be good | up just a little bit
25/2/2021 10:26 | Buy back is for Max of 10m shares over 3 years | phillis
25/2/2021 10:23 | They have held shares in the treasury before and have always ended up cancelling them at some point after putting a number away at different times and then cancelling them all at once, not sure why it would be any different this time? | tinnsnbf |
