21/3/2018 13:48 | My own calculations put it at somewhere around 20-22p a share based on 169m shares in issue for 2017 and at possibly around 24-26p for 2018 if commodity prices stay as they are. This without there being an increase in production, which they have the capacity to do and would make sense based on current zinc prices. | crooky1967
21/3/2018 12:54 | What are we missing here?????? | brucey6onus
21/3/2018 11:58 | Broker forecasts are £31.19m and eps 12.08p. If these figures are close then I don’t think we will get a trading update before results in 2-3 weeks. I remain hopeful that the results will be better than that forecast but that is only on the assumption that sales volume is same as previous year. The clearance of debt adds confidence that this has been the case. I would not be expecting positive news on second licence in the results. When and if this ever happens it would be announced to market straight away. | acuere
21/3/2018 10:57 | We'll find out in a few weeks whether the selling is justified and we PIs are simply living in the dark. | gbh2
20/3/2018 23:46 | it was overbrook management corporation 4 of august 2016 total holding was 9.18 mil shares they had just exceeded 5% either griffith or overbrook might be offloading trellus might be buying | trawl
20/3/2018 18:49 | Bad guess Trellus is the big holder and Usdan is a non-Exec They can't deal | phillis
20/3/2018 17:59 | Think you’re spot on there brucey, it’s those dolly dealers. | busterdog2
20/3/2018 17:38 | griffiths has 7mil shares and some american fund has a decent holding cant remember the name it may be one of these offloading i think they are both up about 250% | trawl
20/3/2018 17:03 | Will likely be 2 institutional level investors swapping through market makers c. 5.5mm shares at 123p, 1 institution selling / one buying. Tomorrow RNS on major shareholders should reveal more | brucey6onus
20/3/2018 16:57 | Doesn't make sense, especially if full year figures are going to be that good next month. Could have GFM purchased them back or do they need to notify the market that they are going to buy back shares? | crooky1967
20/3/2018 16:56 | Better Still that amount as sells and only 0.5p down mm's happy to take them | up just a little bit
20/3/2018 16:53 | End of year | up just a little bit
20/3/2018 16:41 | What's with the eleven million shares "sold" at 123p? | busterdog2
20/3/2018 16:22 | Some realising profits going on for end of year by the looks of it | up just a little bit
16/3/2018 16:31 | Mad F do you want the MMs to whip the price around?? (as they do for most AIM stocks) I think everyone knows we're in a wait and see mode till trading update (my guess 22/3) and results (apparently 5/4). If anything there seems to be very slightly more sells than buys today, I can only assume some impatient people get bored and see somewhere else to put their money to work, balanced with the more patient, possibly wiser? investors who are picking up shares in anticipation of the positive news flow in next 2 weeks. I really hope they can announce zone II license approval as well and/or whopping dividend with results, if they do then I take my 1 yr career break. GLTA | brucey6onus
16/3/2018 12:50 | yes very strange, I hope they announce a special dividend :) | ukgeorge
16/3/2018 12:28 | Wtf is happening here? Have all the MMs given up?Roll on results. | mad foetus
13/3/2018 11:31 | I worked out the average price for the last 6 months of 2017 was around $3025. So providing that Zinc stays at present level of $3300 and based on production figures of 2017 H1 then we could be looking at an extra $10 - $11m more profit in 2018 over 2017 figures when released. They may have increased output slightly to make use of the extra capacity they have as well to take advantage of the higher prices. Gold seems to be around $20 above the average of the last 6 months of 2017 too. Hopefully zinc stocks may start to dwindle again in 3-4 months and prices may rise but not betting on it. Eagerly awaiting results now in April, not that I am wishing my life away. | crooky1967
13/3/2018 11:30 | Doubled my stake here. Time for the next leg up? | volsung
13/3/2018 10:33 | current LME price still higher than when GFM announced bank had been paid off prices have been much higher since that RNS | phillis
11/3/2018 14:57 | LME Zinc up 2% at 3299.50. Good rebound. About time Griffin posted a trading update they must be coining it in with the price of Zinc. Also its about time they were granted the new licences. | malcolmmm
08/3/2018 09:46 | Citi bank is forecasting $3,800/t zinc in Q2 | ukgeorge
08/3/2018 08:16 | I am generally of the opinion that good news is brought forward But looking at Easter this year I am not sure the results would be announced in a four day holiday week (before or After the Easter weekend) which probably favours w/c 8 April Pity | phillis
07/3/2018 15:36 | Zinc down a little LME 3323 but the thinking is that the support level of 3300 has held and the upward momentum will be resumed. I had a look at the old news here with director buys, share buy backs and all the debt paid back to the banks. With the price of Zinc along with the shortage and smeltering prices reducing, profits will be very good imo | malcolmmm |
