Even lead is over a $ now. Did not see this coming. Would indeed be huge fun if they were to get that licence but my hope is they have worked out other ways of feeding the new equipment and then pay some dividends.

"A purer play might be Griffin Mining (LSE: GFM), which owns just under 90% of an operating zinc-gold mine about 300 miles north west of Beijing....................................."

The fall was not justified given the small volumes. MM's taking the Micky - it will recover.

Hi Colinvest,

No doubt the rsi is stretched a little. May come back for a healthy breath. Zinc price itself has had some fresh breath.

mariopeter: After your comment (26156) zinc fell slightly to 2206 on 16th Sept, and has since rallied to flirt with 2300; implying that there is now a 'higher-high-and-higher- low' in place for a resumption of the bull trend. The impulsive breakout in gold ($1,333) after the FOMC meeting yesterday also sets the tone for better sentiment in metals, hopefully to be reflected in pushing GFM past 47p. However, the bullishness of the chart would not be compromised with a constructive pullback to the 40p area.

In view of the delay on the permission to drill the new zone there must be a way of feeding the monster equipment from the existing zones. If that is the case then we will continue to re-rate up. Good that zinc is on the rise too.
