17/8/2005 08:09 | here we go... Greystar Reports a New Mineral Resource Estimate VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthe is pleased to report that a new, independently-direct its wholly-owned Angostura property in northeastern Colombia. Highlights: - Indicated resource estimate at Angostura of 5.83 million ounces of gold with 24.6 million ounces ofsilver. - Inferred resource estimate at Angostura of 4.47 million ounces of gold with 21.5 million ounces of silver. "The continued success of our 2005 drilling program has not only upgraded a significant portion of the Angostura deposit's mineral resource to the indicated classification but also discovered additional resources that increased the overall contained ounces of gold," says Greystar's Executive Vice- President, Frederick Felder. "And the deposit remains open in all directions indicating the potential for further increases is favorable." | rambutan2

01/8/2005 18:59 | also, no one commented on 20/07 drilling update... "After each set of drill results we are getting a better and better picture of the overall geometry and potential of the Angostura property," says Greystar's President, David Rovig. "And the latest results continue to show higher-grade, gold-bearing structures that are so significant because these zones host more than 30% of the contained gold outlined at Angostura so far." ...Greystar is especially pleased that the ongoing drill program has now tied in the mineralization at Veta de Barro with the La Alta area, which was previously the most northern portion of the Angostura deposit. Drilling in this area, known as El Pozo is continuing and additional vein structures have been identified. it well worth a full read. beginning to look like they may have found the fabled Eldorado! | rambutan2
01/8/2005 18:51 | bit out of date, and he being too cautious on price... 2005-07-14 19:21 ET - In the News Douglas Casey, writing in the July 1, 2005, edition of his International Speculator, says Greystar Resources Ltd., then $5.50, is a buy at about $5. The Aspen-based letter writer says major gold producers are scrambling to replace depleting reserves, and Greystar may be in the line of sight of major producers. Mr. Casey likes the people behind Greystar, including David Rovig, president since 1994. The company's asset is the wholly owned Angostura deposit in volatile Colombia. Angostura has almost eight million ounces of gold and more than 31 million of silver and the potential to get much larger. Greystar optioned the property in 1994, drilling 118 holes before one of its drill contractors was kidnapped in 1998, after which no work was done until 2003. Now, with eight drills turning full bore, the deposit keeps getting bigger. There are regional targets within the 6,700-hectare concession that have never been drilled. If Greystar succeeds with the metallurgy, and provided Colombia remains quiet, the valuation gap between Greystar and its peers will start to narrow. Says Mr. Casey: "Don't chase it. Instead, put it on your list of companies to watch, then try to pick up shares on any volatility." | rambutan2
24/7/2005 11:14 | Unfortunately, I got out of this position a bit too early. However, for those who are comfortable with this sort of risk may like to look at Anatolia Minerals (ANO) ...only listed in Canada but trying to prove up an 'inferred'resource of 4mn ounces. Has big acreage and JV's with Rio. Not intended as a ramp and, as always, people must their own due diligence. | langland |
