Minesite:

Another AIM-Canadian listing company Greystar Resources rallied on news that drilling has extended its plus 10 million ounce Angostura gold deposit in Colombia to the east. Greystar ended the week at C$7.84, up C$0.74.....

After a fairly long lag period, it looks like the junior exploration companies are started to attract investor interest once again. So far, the focus is on juniors with assets in the ground but as exploration intensifies, drill plays could well make for some rapid stock movement over the next few months. Only time will tell and we will be watching.

"The bulk tonnage potential at Angostura continues to be enhanced with each set of drill results and thanks to the apparently successful on going drill program, we are now set to move into the economic phase of the project with a scoping study expected to start in the first quarter of 2006," adds Greystar's president, David Rovig.

lasata,

yes indeed, looks like resource size could nearly double from here if we get more good results from Cristo Rey and Veta de Barro and other areas

SP chart indicates return to the previous highs and beyond. This news could be the reason.

"The mineralization clearly remains wide open to the east and is limited only by the drilling
completed so far," says Greystar's Executive Vice President, Frederick Felder. "And even more
encouraging is that the gold grades and widths appear to be improving in that direction as well."

Excellent extension announced today. This is what we have been expecting. The grades are getting better, so the N and E will now be the focus for further drilling ...

Greystar Drilling Opens Up Angostura to the East

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 8, 2005) - Greystar Resources Ltd. (TSX:GSL)(AIM:GSL)
reports that on going drilling has expanded and enhanced its wholly owned, multi-million ounce
Angostura gold-silver deposit in northeastern Colombia.

On the eastern known limit of the deposit in the La Alta area, hole AL05-25 intersected 16 mineralized
veins comprising 42% of the entire 478.6 metre hole with Vein 564 returning 1.89 grams gold per tonne
over 14.4 metres, Vein 363 yielding 2.59 grams gold per tonne over 10.3 metres and Vein 1 returning
2.94 grams gold per tonne over 29 metres.

Moving north into the Veta de Barro area, hole VB 05-24 intersected 10 veins on the eastern limit of
the presently drilled portion of the area, with Vein 26556 returning 27.45 metres grading 3.92 grams
gold per tonne.

Likewise in the Diamante area, underground drill hole UDM05-03 collared 50 metres east of previously
reported drill holes yielded 1.37 grams gold per tonne over 274 metres, including 140 metres grading
1.65 grams gold per tonne.

Moving 1-km northeast of the currently defined northern limits of the deposit at Veto Veta de Barro,
Greystar has one drill machine testing the central Cristo Rey area where trenching has indicated an
area of wide mineralization and two rigs are currently drilling on the eastern extension of the Veta
de Barro area (referred to as VBE for Veta de Barro East), which is the boundary area between the Veta
de Barro area and the Cristo Rey system to the north.

"The mineralization clearly remains wide open to the east and is limited only by the drilling
completed so far," says Greystar's Executive Vice President, Frederick Felder. "And even more
encouraging is that the gold grades and widths appear to be improving in that direction as well."

In the main area of the deposit, drill hole DM 05-24 returned 1.32 grams gold per tonne over 136
metres, plus another wide zone of intense mineralization lower down the hole that returned 0.79 gram
gold per tonne over 263 metres with the mineralized veins making up 43.5% of the interval.

Higher grade shoots also continued to be encountered in multiple areas but most notably in the La Alta
area with hole Al05-19 returning 18.65 metres grading 9.25 grams gold per tonne and the North Central
Diamante area where hole DM 05-27 hit 14.98 grams gold per tonne over 4.6 metres, plus 7.35 grams gold
per tonne over 5.6 metres. Hole DM05-26 drilled 50 meters below DM05-27 returned 7 metres grading 8.55
grams gold per tonne and 1.29 grams gold per tonne over 18 metres. In the La Peresoza area, hole LP 05-
01 returned 16.8 metres grading 2.38 grams gold per tonne.

Based on the improvement in both grade and width towards the previously considered eastern limit of
the deposit, Greystar has shifted the focus of drilling to the east and northeast, with most the
drills now placed at the east side of the La Ata, Veta de Barro and Diamante areas.

"The bulk tonnage potential at Angostura continues to be enhanced with each set of drill results and
thanks to the apparently successful on going drill program, we are now set to move into the economic
phase of the project with a scoping study expected to start in the first quarter of 2006," adds
Greystar's president, David Rovig.

From project inception in 1995 through Dec. 5, 2005, 444 core holes have been drilled for a total of
140,540 metres and based on the August 2005 resource calculation, the Angostura deposit contains 5.83
million ounces of gold and 24.6 million ounces of silver within an indicated resource of 148.14
million tonnes grading 1.22 grams gold per tonne and 5.17 grams silver per tonne, plus another 4.47
million ounces of gold and 21.5 million ounces of silver within an inferred resource of 123.3 million
tonnes grading 1.13 grams gold per tonne and 5.42 grams silver per tonne using a cut off of 0.4 gram
gold for oxide and 0.55 gram gold for sulfide (Press Release August 16, 2005). A location map of the

i know it's what we all believe, but it's still nice to hear it from a respected fund manager...

Gold explorer, Greystar Resources, continues to prove up its gold resources in Latin America and has attracted interest from a number of major resource companies. We believe that it is unlikely to remain independent in the medium term.

Hi rambutan2, drifting a bit off topic here, but a company worth looking at now for a possible early pop is PGM Ventures, PPG. Gold it has, but a sideshow to its high grade mainly copper and zinc polymetallic deposit at Aguas Tenidas in Spain, near Rio Tinto. Used to belong to Navan. Currently awaiting imminent BFS, which is expected to be good...Look at some of their recent drilling on top of well established resources. The area is mining friendly and EU grants may be available. Mkt cap $48m Canadian at 70cents. Interesting that when they acquired it rumour has it that they just pipped Tech Cominco to the post. Might TC come back to buy it?

Interesting from the valuation point of view is Dynasty Metals and Mining, DMM.V, which is in the country next to Greystar's, Ecuador. It has 3.79m oz resources and a market cap of $23m Canadian. With any luck there's going to be widespread revaluation of companies like these.

rambutan,

So Bolivar has a mix of measured, indicated and inferred resources in Venezuela that add up to 3.5 million ounces. The offer price of US$330 million works out to $94 per total ounce of gold resource.Greystar has over 10m measured, indicated and inferrred ozs. of gold in Colombia (disregarding the silver)and the resource calculation is still growing. So could be worth well in excess of 10m x $94 = $940m = £548m. Present Mk. Cap. of Greystar is approx £150m. Grossly undervalued then.

for bolivar read gsl?

In between those two ends of the risk/return spectrum are a group of companies that are beyond the initial discovery stage and are systematically adding shareholder value by advancing their discoveries toward production.
To me that is the optimal time to get involved in the small companies: It provides the best balance of risk and potential rewards.

There is potential for an enormous lift in value as a project advances from an early stage deposit toward production. Early stage gold deposits are typically valued at around $10 per ounce of earliest stage, or inferred, resource.
Those estimates of inferred resources are preliminary, but are more than guess work. They are based on tens or even hundreds of drill holes.

To give you an idea of what a deposit can become worth as it advances, Goldfields just offered to buy a little company called Bolivar. That junior has a mix of measured, indicated and inferred resources in Venezuela that add up to 3.5 million ounces. The offer price of US$330 million works out to $94 per total ounce of gold resource.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 21, 2005) - Greystar Resources Ltd. (TSX:GSL)(AIM:GSL) reports that hole SI05-20 drilled in the Silencio area of its wholly owned, multi- million ounce Angostura gold-silver deposit in northeastern Colombia has returned a weighted average of 1.41 grams gold per tonne over 200.4 metres.

"By combining these broad zones of mineralization with the higher grade shoots encountered, the bulk tonnage potential at Angostura is increased and these greater mineralized widths typically result in a reduction of internal waste material, which should be verified by the scoping study due to commence in
the first quarter of 2006," adds Greystar's President, David Rovig.
