18/5/2005 10:24 | good, if expected, news. will be v surprised if not a success... LONDON (AFX) - Greystar Resources Ltd said drill testing of high priority targets outside the immediate area of its multi-million ounce Angostura gold silver deposit in northeastern Colombia is expected to start in June 2005. The initial target will be the Cristo Rey area where soil sampling has outlined a large anomalous area to the north of the currently identified Angostura mineralized system, the company said. It added that mapping over the anomaly has defined a number of vein-like structures similar in appearance to those which host the Angostura gold deposit and additional mapping is currently underway between the Cristo Rey area and the Veta de Barro Vein system, which lies 500 metres to the south. It added that a number of other geochemical anomalies have been outlined and warrant further work. | rambutan2

11/5/2005 18:54 | nice one langland, "Hodgson said AngloGold is expanding its assets in Brazil, and seriously contemplating entering Columbia. "Part of our new frontiers is that we have taken up some land holdings in Columbia," he said. Sure it may be risky. Nevertheless, he explained, "if. you look at the Yanacocha story, Newmont had that ground when they couldn't get access to it because of all the trouble. They held on to it until they were in a position to benefit from it." "We know people who operate mines in Columbia. Anglo American shared a coal operation, BHP Billiton was over there as well," he added." In terms of the authorities, it is quite a regulated, organized society. Who knows, in X time, conditions may be much more favorable to develop mines?" Hodgson noted that Columbia has a lengthy mining history".. | gardenboy

21/4/2005 09:33 | just keeps on growing... Greystar Intersects More Significant Gold at Angostura VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthe (TSX:GSL)(AIM:GSL) is pleased to report that the 2005 diamond drilling program is continuing to confirm and expand the mineralization on its wholly-owned, multi-million ounce Angostura gold-silver deposit in northeastern Colombia. The latest drill results, which include 11 new holes and 2 partially reported holes, further indicate the potential to enhance and upgrade the March 2005 resource study of 3.45 million ounces of gold and 14.5 million ounces of silver within an indicated resource of 87.26 million tonnes grading 1.23 grams gold per tonne and 5.2 grams silver per tonne, plus another 4.52 million ounces of gold and 16.9 million ounces of silver within an inferred resource of 111.51 million tonnes grading 1.26 grams gold per tonne and 4.7 grams silver per tonne (Press Release April 4, 2005). | rambutan2
07/4/2005 13:18 | I have put the minesite link onto the stockhouse board..can't do any harm. | langland
07/4/2005 11:41 | has the geologist left a plane without a parachute yet? | ursus
07/4/2005 11:34 | deserves a bit of a ramp i think (from the minesite piece)... Greystar Resources Tallies Eight Million Ounces Of Gold In Colombia And Could Be A Target. ...Fred informed me that the gold grades in the latest study are more than likely conservative as the method of calculation used only one population base but, regardless, the results still clearly show that the Angostura gold deposit is a very large, near surface mineralized system that appears suitable for a bulk tonnage, low-cost open pit mining operation. ...So with C$32 million sitting in its till, an 8 million ounce gold resource and a market value of less than C$132 million, the C$1 billion question is why doesn't a major gold miner take them out? it will happen at some stage. of that i am sure! | rambutan2 |
