06/1/2011 20:22 | albert, their fate is in the hands of those who are willing or unwilling to lend which is in the balance IMHO. Such a high cash burn rate which would suggest the management has no clue of how to run a sustainable and profitable business. Only now are they looking to reduce staff costs! | 6kenny
06/1/2011 18:49 | In my respectful opinion there seems to be a great deal of rubbish currently being canvassed on here. IMHO this Company is NOT going bust. If you have seriously been prepared to buy and hold this stock it should always knowingly have been for the long term. GTE still has a lot going for it and I for one have already supported the 3 Resolutions and am prepared to "take the hazard of the die". I think much has changed for the better in the past 12 months and, despite my previous misgivings and my very substantial losses to date, am willing to trust the Chairman and his colleagues to settle a realistic and fair structured deal to pull this intrinsically sound business into medium and long term profitability. | albertedwin
06/1/2011 16:31 | Bad luck gdasinv. Can't believe you held after the new-year-eve announcement. Then again, you seem to hold stocks as they go bust. The intelligence of your posts is probably a good reflection of the intelligence of your trading. | bozzy_s

06/1/2011 14:00 | I don't answer to you knowing so you can forget about it. When I stop posting, you will know I have sold! Why would I lie about selling shares in a company that might be going bust! | 6kenny

06/1/2011 13:50 | 6Kenny, I tried to get hold of Grant but had no luck - it appears he is overseas. I also tried Mischler at Matrix but it appears he is in meetings for most of the day. Anyway, I do not think there is likely to be anything new that I might glean from speaking to those at the helm, and thus shall not bother again. As matters stand, I have no interest in GTE and wish you the best of luck. | yasx

05/1/2011 22:41 | yas, Did you call GTE today? | 6kenny
05/1/2011 12:37 | From yesterdays proactive investor : Gas Turbine Efficiency (GTE, 6.625p, £6.76m) has announced (on 29th December) the sale of its non-core aviation related cleaning services business to Pratt & Whitney. The sale will see an immediate inflow of $14.8m with $1.15m in 12 months time and $1.15m in 18 months time. The business sold had sales of some $5.7m (including a $3m royalty payment) and book value assets of $6.5m. The sale answers our short term funding concerns over the $10m 2009 notes that were recently extended. We maintain the HOLD recommendation as we suspect some funding round will still be forthcoming. 05/1/2011 08:20 | cheers jwe, I have never filtered anyone and never will...I am not one who gets wound up very easily so don't mind reading posts from drongos.. | 6kenny
05/1/2011 08:13 | Morning Kenny-Firstly i would filter gdas he is obviously a pump & dump merchant as his posts imply and Scott kindly gave us evidence off yesterday. That is not to say you should ignore all those that disagree with you just the obvious idiots Regarding GTE,had this of been me i definately would have sold first off yesterday.Apart from the near term outlook i would have lost faith in the management both financialy and their integrity-i always sale in these cases. The itegerity is an issue for me after the announcement on the 31st-a lot of this would definately been known on the 29th and should have been outlined in more detail rather than a somewhat throw away comment on looking for further backers. Some people lost money as a result of that! As for the future i think your Friday target is a little pessimistic currently. An equity swap could well be in that region though Whilst at these levels i can see no reason to hold PLEASE NOTE that somebody was picking up large quantities of these yesterday and obviously thinks there are worth having at these levels. As i holder i would take some comfort at that A debt for equity swap is ,imo, still the most likely outcome. Please dyor though. These are just my personal views | jwe |
