How is 4% remotely justified - I didnt spot that? Details? |
4% of what? NAV appears to be unquantifiable!! |
GSF unlike GRID and HEIT, has poison pill in the case of a takeover where GSC would grab 4% of NAV
GRID and HEIT more likely t/o candidates |
Has it stopped raining? |
Looking forward to getting up one morning to find GSF's been taken over for about 80p. Don't think I'd accept much less (& no: fortunately that isn't my b/e ;)). |
Saba going to come after these discounts-activist Weinstein knows there’s tomfoolery afoot in the sector |

GSF finishing up on the day?!!! |
Got to hand it to em. I think this is my only stock in the blue today. Blimey |
brucie: I think it would need to be 100 miles square ie 10,000 square miles - a solar farm near me is going to produce about 100MW from 100 hectare. |
Is it getting hammered? BP more so. In fact some people seem to be buying - maybe Trump has got them confused. Be a bit of space in a container now so could be quite a bit of selling tomorrow. |
Presumably this is getting hammered again re the ITC issue. Clarification needed |
Musk asserts that the entire US economy could be powered by an area of 100 square miles of solar, with storage. On some things he makes sense. |
In business make use of other peoples money... |
At least they are using their fees wisely. They haven't bought any GSF stock |
GRID just moved their management fees to 50% of market cap rather cooked/illusory NAV.
These GSF scums are still charging us on their imaginary NAV |
It can be done |
Wondering why anyone would invest in constructing new bess installations and then wait months for NG to get their act together to authorise connection to the grid when they can buy existing assets at less than 50p in the £? Clearly there is still a lucrative investment return here!hTtps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2k549wpzkzo.amp |

Looking like Donald has ensured it's the latter |
Love it, scruff and stash! Holding this stock, it was inevitable that we would turn to comedy at some stage..if we don't laugh we'll end up crying..!! |
Yes agree, please Note the NB. |
Imperial county is near Joshua Tree, a long way from LA. |
So much to contend with - Big Rock:
NB Imperial County is situated South East of Los Angeles.
In part:
"The Palisades Fire, which ignited on January 7, 2025, devastated the region as fierce Santa Ana winds and prolonged drought conditions caused it to spread rapidly. The fire scorched over 23,000 acres, destroyed more than 12,000 structures, and forced the evacuation of approximately 150,000 residents across Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and parts of the San Fernando Valley. At least five lives were lost, and many others were injured. Firefighting efforts were hampered by high winds, which grounded aerial support and intensified the fire’s spread. Although recent rainfall has helped contain the blaze, it has raised concerns about mudslides and debris flow in the already damaged area. By late January, evacuation orders had been lifted, and recovery efforts, including debris removal and utility restoration, were well underway.
Big Rock Beach, located just north of the community’s intersection with the Pacific Coast Highway, remains a tranquil retreat despite the devastation nearby. Known for its rocky shores and vibrant marine life, the beach is popular for fishing, diving, and kayaking. The neighborhood itself is dotted with homes nestled among lush trees and gardens, offering breathtaking views of the Santa Monica Bay coastline and Malibu shoreline. "

Looking back to 2023: |
The stockmarket does occasionally produce egregious value situations where one subsequently has to rub one's eyes to imagine how badly they were understood. The easiest examples, though, are probably the over hyped situations, all variants of Dutch Tulip Mania, but once could return to the way that property was viewed in the mid 1990s after the scare around Negative Equity. The last thing anyone wanted was an overlarge mortgage; yet that was precisely the smartest thing to have in about 1996, if you could service it. Prices quadrupled over the following two decades, without mentioning the rental values on BTL. I also seem to remember LGEN at 20p during the GFC and I was far too sensible to step in and buy, having seen what happened to RBS. To be sure there is always the risk that the investment case is too good to be true and first (2nd, 3rd...)rule of investing is always to protect one's capital. But beyond that, unless you wish to buy a gilt or index tracker, you should be in the game of following your analysis to buy mispriced assets in a reasonably diversified folio. And mispricing is either a function of excessive discounting, or growth potential which the market has not yet realised.
If you believe the management, this belongs to the former. Currently yielding 15.46%, at a discount to NAV of 55%, if the given figures are to be believed. |
