Should head higher. Hot sector .. the key here now imo is the acquisition which inserts them into public sector solar. The funding sloshing around for this is phenomenal

Given that GOOD rejected a bid at 400p and that they are now considerably more profitable, I can't see the BoD agreeing to anything under 500p here. I agree that Dale must have been sounded out in advance for it to be even worth opening up negotiations.

So I could easily see this being 500p plus if it happens.

The market doesn't seem to be thinking the same way as me and looks to be anticipating a price closer to 400p if a bid comes at all.

You can see the fit for EsyaSoft, already active across EU, and GOOD would be an excellent entry into UK green energy that's about to benefit massively from a Labour Gov. https://www.green-forum.eu/business/20240801/electrica-and-esyasoft-partner-to-establish-green-energy-joint-venture-in-romania-1290?trk=feed-detail_main-feed-card_feed-article-content

Can't see why Eysasoft would have bothered talking to the GOOD BOD unless they had talked to ECO before. ECO have what is effectively a blocking shareholding , so it wouldn't be worth the waste of time unless an understanding had been reached.IHC, parent of eysasoft is worth billions, so

Todays acquisition alone adds some substantial value Given the cash pile here I would like to see a bid in the region 5gbp

Can block special resolutions (Companies Act 2006) as holds more than 25%. Believe they hold 25.8%.

if the offer is high enough, 26% won't block it

You beat me to it. Explains the recent price action and looks like a leak. Trouble is Eco hold 26% enough to block the deal and they weren't to complimentary about Ecotricity / Dale Vince previously.

After having a quick internet search, after wondering who on earth the possible offerer was, they are owned by Sirius Holdings, an Abu Dhabi based technology company with 9000 employees. I have never heard of them before but they seem to have the scale and resources to be a meaningful bidder if they choose to proceed with an offer.

Yeah 400p may be cheap then. Other boards suggesting this esyasoft offer may bring ecoctricity back into the mix. DYOR

You'd think above that. Company in much better shape than 2021 On 16 September 2021, Ecotricity announced the terms of its increased cash offer (the "Increased Offer") of 400 pence per share for the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Good Energy not already owned by Ecotricity.
