They sell to retail customers at a fixed rate (within the contract period). They buy from micro generators at a fixed rate. But what they can't control is volume. When generators generate less than what they sell to retail customers I assume they need to buy the delta on-market. That's market risk / arb'ing the FIT. See Bulb energy. GOOD might mitigate that risk by only taking on retail customers as they take on generation customers. But that's going to constrain their growth. My point is, it's unclear.

HiArbitrage FIT income?, don't think they are allowed to tbh.All I see is they gain a couple of weeks of additional interest on FIT income / payments streams.Https://www.goodenergy.co.uk/support/articles/feed-in-tariff-payments/

There are also a couple of avid labour fans on here as well as on one of the YU threads. You should touch base with them if you haven't already.

Best thing to do is to email IR who should be able to point you in the right direction for the information. Might not be immediate though. Once you have a concrete answer do report back here! I believe it's investor.relations@goodenergy.co.uk .

Not -ve. I'm +ve about the market opportunity for a provider like GOOD, especially if / when we get a Labour govt. later this year. But I don't like the idea they're arb'ing their sale retail prices and the FITs they buy from their micro-generators. If that's what they're doing, which isn't explained on their website, there's risk there.

There's a farily good summary on the home page of their website. Take a look.

Only 2 posts and both negative. Hang on a minute have you been dancing recently?

Anyone understand the trailing revenue model for GOOD? Selling panels and pumps etc is all well and good but it's not going to make a FTSE 250 company if they can't get a meaningful clip of the ongoing energy contract. But the accounts are pretty unclear on that. Might be reading them wrong.

disc0dave46 > "What overhang!"

I think basem1 means a possible overhang from the placing at 250.

Seems to be very little appetite for selling down here Thought we might have had a little collapse this morning but no one wanted to sell at 235

What's with all the mid price transactions happening over the past week or two? They match neither the buy or sell price at the time. Transfer between MMs for some reason?
