RNS $1.224m loan secured at only 6% interest + warrants that could, if converted, bring in another $1m. With no dilution ahead and the project goal, gold production, drawing closer, this will re-rate. Buy! https://www.investegate.co.uk/goldstone-resources--grl-/rns/usd1-224-million-loan-and-issue-of-warrants/201812280700026134L/

It is in the interest of the largest shareholder and related parties to see the projects through to fruition and for them the working capital is not that great for them to absorb. There will be interest to pay but so be it. The company has a Twitter account but with not a great deal of followers. Nevertheless its helpful and mirrors what the management is activily doing once the loan is in place. Please look at all the principal shareholders as only 32% approx is owned by outside shareholders and any loose stock has been mopped up by the market. This actually makes it very easy to find out who is short and that would/may be a result of the placing done in 2017 at 1.5p per share so there may be stock to come out at a slightly higher level..........we shall have to see. Hope this helps as I notice that some posters back a year ago no longer post and a few recent ones as well..........always a good sign if readers do some basic research before buying.

anley Thank you for your appraisal - the bulletin boards are full of loons - it seems you are not one of them. With the greatest respect I feel you - nor your broker - would know of these short positions if they are out there - I have come across CEO's who have tried to establish whether their stock is being shorted - with no success. These matters are closely guarded - it is rare - given the nature of such practice - the entities would declare even to established brokers - often some brokers are party to such events also. If you are Twitter savvy you may have noticed a number of companies are 'fighting back' against such practice - I believe Goldstone is one of them. Do you not consider it odd - in a stock that has lost 60% since July - it is impossible to buy in any size - now why do you think that is - I have drawn my own conclusions ! I would assume there is not long to wait to see if the loan has been granted - if it comes we may or may not see a classic bear squeeze.

WC.......please do not critise anyone when you have not met them or no anything about them. I started as a Blue Button on the LSE in 1960 then went in to investment banking and fund management but retired in 1970 after working on our entry in to the EU. Since then I have been on two quoted boards and wrote their prospectus. Enough of that.......I have been buying Goldstone since late September when I met the head of the new management team. So from 1.3 down to 0.9p I have managed to buy quite a lot by removing surplus stock from time to time........there were no shorts otherwise they would have been caught out by my broker who by the way has had over 50 years in stock broking.......I hardly use IT its still by phone. I do not invest unless I can see and understand the management and here we have a case of a new team cleaning up a real mees left over by the old team and its going well even if some stale bull posters do not think so. I hope this is helpful and if you want an example of what I do not invest in take a look at FCRM..where the management is most unhelpful.

Why would it be a protected short position? Do you think it's coz of the loan? Issue cheap shares to pinnacle? For the loan?

I think WC may have a point, the last thing they want is to allow buyers if there is a short position they want to protect. It could get interesting here. I tried buying on Monday (I know it was a short day) and today and there is nothing available, I would happily take 500k of shares.

At some point they will need to spike the price to have some free float. It's stupid that no shares are available to buy.....mms are there to make a market

anley I am a seasoned campaigner with significant experience in junior markets. I assume you know that a market market can legally naked short 10% of the issued capital on any company they make a market in - without declaring their position. In a very high proportion of junior companies - that have a regular placing pattern - there is a naked short sitting. The market makers sell stock forward and replace it in these placings. I would suggest - in the case of Goldstone - there is a short position therefore - size hard to determine. It does look like the company has outflanked the market maker positions - assuming they can get the loan from their investor - that investor owns 28.3% of Goldstone so it is highly likely they will oblige. Every now and then short entities get caught - resulting in large price spikes - some investors have ability to spot such scenarios !

Gone back for three months. Book looks balanced all large trades supplied by similar sized sells in the previous days. Got to be honest doesn’t look like a large short in operation. Namely the 4m buy and a few others of size all filled by similar volume at the same time. Looks straight to me since September

How do you know what the short position is WealthCreator? Are you trying to tell us that there are over 11,000,000 million shares SHORT? You have not posted before so we should ask you if you have a position in this share OR are you trying to ramp this share? I will give you until 7 January to give this BB an honest answer and if you do not then we will take it that you were trying to mislead investors...........

To clarify for the uninitiated - Co is going for a loan from one of their major shareholders - instead of a usual market placing - leaves any prospective naked short position totally exposed & unable to close.

Another AIM minnow not prepared to play the game - taking the ball away - probability 3%-5% of equity sold naked short - circa 10m-15m shares. Nigh certainty the major investor will loan them the $1.2m - peanuts to Paracale Gold. Good to see companies fighting these illicit market practices. This could spike dis-proportionally if there is a position. Try buying!

I failed to mention that I anticipate an announcement is imminent on the shareholder loan. A rare event on AIM that the BOD & associated parties have 'skin in the game' - holding 49% of the equity.

Interesting views debt collector I think you have a point, might buy a few in anticipation, short squeezes in such illiquid stocks can be phenomenal. I hear the company is connected to some deep pocketed stakeholders, not you usual AIM situation.

I wonder how short 'the market' is in this stock, no doubt certain 'market participants' would have expected Goldstone to raise cash via a conventional placing - allowing them to close the inevitable short position compatible to junior resource companies. The company looks like it is going to be advanced a $1.2m loan from one of its major shareholders. That is a material event if it happens and could lead to a traditional short squeeze, how far the shares may rise in such an event is anyone's guess. One to watch, 2p-3p-5p - who knows!
