07/3/2023 10:39 | Board shot the company in the foot over the audit debacle And wholly scary plans ahead such as the coal business Electricity supply out of their control but have they resolved alternative measures - site generators for example Until the board realise that share price is seriously influenced by dividends this is just a company where the board and employees are all that benefit No identification that shareholders want a return on capitl Alm | ih_692232
06/3/2023 13:32 | kimboy2, I've been very lucky with my timing into and out of GDP. There is no doubt that GDP is worth far more than any recent share price but it is impossible to know when fair value will be reflected. I will continue to hold until it does but it's very frustrating to see the value against the current share price | lowtrawler
06/3/2023 13:11 | WHI View: The plans put in place and the ongoing efforts to improve material flow to the Ghana plant should enable Goldplat to continue its growth profile in our view with stable production from South Africa, together with its growth projects, acting as an anchor. We expect an improvement in the electricity supply in South Africa, but this acts as the biggest risk to our forecast. The company continues to be the go-to processor for precious-metal bearing materials and has a unique set of processing circuits to maximise recovery. We see fair value at 21p/sh. | kimboy2
06/3/2023 09:29 | Martin O has put both feet in. He has been very patient to date. But his options seem very limited; who wants to buy a 28% stake at a premium price. | russman

03/3/2023 09:01 | There needs to be a change of leadership to extract value for all stakeholders. | russman
02/3/2023 13:44 | Yes, but he didn't exactly publically welcome him, big up his previous achievements or how much he was enjoying working together, or any of the other pleasantries and PR that normally come with a new management appointment, even if not yet at board level. | dangersimpson2
01/3/2023 19:51 | IIRC Werner didn't refuse to name him, he just said if it had been a board appointment it would have been announced. | kimboy2
01/3/2023 17:14 | This looks to be our new CFO - Why Werner can't just name him, I don't know. I know that the legal requirement to RNS if he is a board member, but it just looks like amateur hour when Werner won't introduce him to the market, yet I can find out who he is on linkedin. | dangersimpson2
01/3/2023 16:58 | Well I would suggest; 1. The stock dam. Probably worth the present market cap. Permission in June allegedly, take a year to production and 5 years of processing. 2. South Africa is clearly a mature market but they are clearly intending on diversifying out of gold into other recovery areas. Coal being in the frame at the moment. 3. Plenty of scope in Ghana to increase production if they can get the material, which they seem to be at the moment. Room to expand in Ghana. 4. Brazil. Seems to be a low grade operation which they are starting slowly, but potentially another Ghana. | kimboy2
01/3/2023 10:56 | This from lowtrawler in post 10304 is IMHO a very good point... "The annual report does an incredibly bad job explaining the key financial drivers and reasons for movement. They need to get better at explaining the business and how this translates into the numbers." A question to Werner along these lines ASAP would certainly be useful. I wish I had asked a question about "key drivers" in the IMC presentation. This lack of clarity is certainly unhelpful in terms of understanding exactly what is going on. Obviously, if anybody would like to take a stab at answering this, I would be very interested :-) | shanklin
27/2/2023 07:24 | Here is the Joburg load shedding schedule; Looks to be easing a bit to me, but anything can happen with Eskom. | kimboy2

25/2/2023 06:41 | Now is the time for DRD to buy GDP (on the cheap) | russman
24/2/2023 19:14 | it was already down before the buy, offer thinned out straight after and two extra market makers joined the bid. | shill10
24/2/2023 17:58 | Thanks, strange that the share price came down today after a 2m share purchase. | shareholder7
24/2/2023 17:11 | looking at Level 2 , it was a buy | shill10
24/2/2023 15:58 | None of the directors, other than Martin Ooi, have that many shares. Could be anything, but hasn't affected the market much, so presumably if it is a sale it has already been placed. I would like to think it is GDP buying, but I doubt it. | kimboy2
24/2/2023 15:35 | Perhaps it was GDP using some of the GCAT money to buy and cancel shares. Have a good weekend all. | baht
24/2/2023 15:02 | Don't get that 2200000 buy think it must be a sale as I bought just after and got a lower price Be interesting to see who that was maybe it was Gerard we should get an RNS is it was Hope it was not our CEO | shareholder7
24/2/2023 13:46 | 9.9 I meant | shareholder7 |
