Well done KS, I am down 15% at the moment but as you quite rightly suggest its not a time to sell in panic, its a time to buy.

Cannot understand why we are still not leveling off esp with all the negative sentiment overseas and gold and silver up.

Horrible- nothing seems to be good news for HUI or GPM. I got some GPM Subs (GPMS) and they were showing a very healthy profit a while ago, but it didn't really occur to me to sell cos I was aiming for a multi-bagger there.

Something that strikes me about Gold price is there has been a lot of negative sentiment around recently, and lots of net outflows from ETF's and so on, so much so you would think it has gone down in price, but a look at a years price chart (in sterling) belies that idea completely.

well they say beware falling swords and a'that - even so i was tempted to pop a £5k unit into my SIPP at this price probability of handsome returns is on my side.
Could be a great bargain, we will see.

Go on - pop back up to 63 by the close - just for me - go on....

Anyway, i have always wondered about the frequency of NAV RNSs - seems a bit random but might actuallybe the fund manager trying to say something here - 2 in 2 days virtually unchanged depsite another hammering for the HUI yesterday.

Despite the fact I hold and am underwater, these must be a screaming buy if you don't think that gold is done...IMO etc

True - if a feeling that 'the bottom is in for gold' appears in the near future (weeks) there may well be a considerable snap back in the HUI and thus GPM. But sentiment is poor so perhaps a good time to add - if I hadn't done so much higher up!

Maybe a ray of light to cheer us up?

Gold Set for Next Major Uptrend to Break to New All Time Highs

$1500 for gold the key level so next few weeks critical. I'm still bullish on gold longer term and these are in my SIPP so I can wait. It's been rather a relentless decent, better than dragging it out over years though perhaps.

you are certainly not alone - but i read recently that the Chinese have been buying gold mining companies so a little bit of activity there a bit more QE and a mini crisis will surely reverse the slide.

Not one of my better buys @95p. Looks like gold/gold stock recovery is going to be a bit of a wait. But it'll come.

Hopefully so - I don't know if you follow Dan Norcini's blog but he is interesting about the HUI:

Was talking to a friend who has less exposure to me in the PM miner department - and he was saying that he was looking for something to buy as the sector is so hated now - it's easy to forget when you are being squeezed that the market retains some rationality in that today's dog are often tomorrow's winners.
