08/7/2020 12:13 | GOG year-end estimates are basically saying that a full year of Feb/Mar Covid impact would be manageable and quite potentially stay in profit! They are looking at a profit of £60 million this year as it is. Their balance sheet is strong with good cash reserves and further access to liquidity in place. Looks a lot better than FirstGroup.. | fairtrader66
08/7/2020 09:46 | Why has this been on a downward trend for the last month ?No news & lockdown has been eased which should mean good news for them yet it's in reverse!Any thoughts ? | ropey
06/7/2020 09:06 | ..showing a steady Skirtlift on level 4 towards £15.50 Hope this helps | sanks
29/6/2020 11:54 | "Approximately 90% of total Group revenues are now derived from contracted markets where there is no direct revenue risk from changes in underlying travel demand." | wigwammer
22/5/2020 11:30 | Many thanks for the explanation. | gary1966
22/5/2020 10:56 | Not sure. As I understand it a lot of their business is now cost plus, subsidised by governments. So there isn't the negative gearing of a drop in demand on a fixed cost base. Margins stay the same. But if the cost base is reduced (which it is) then the absolute profit also reduces. I may have got that completely wrong so don't rely on it :) | barnesian
22/5/2020 10:26 | One thing I can’t fathom is if customer demand doesn’t affect their business particularly then why are they forecasting a drop in operating profit of 30-40%? | gary1966
22/5/2020 09:30 | Hint that dividend might be restored with September results?? | barnesian
14/5/2020 12:56 | Not quite so happy now ... | dalep716
13/5/2020 10:52 | Happy to be invested here where profits are Guaranteed and dividends possible. | dalep716
14/4/2020 15:23 | I bought in on 19th March for £5.10. Now up 160%! Feeling pleased with myself. | barnesian
03/4/2020 12:50 | Thanks saurish. I bought as low as 420p, but see little reason to sell. My guess is - some naive hedge bot is having its backside handed to it, and struggling to unwind without taking a painful hit. But it's coming. ATB | wigwammer
03/4/2020 10:56 | I think this one needs a bit of patience. Traders have nearly doubled their money with selling price recovering from 400p and investors are still wary of how long the virus and lockdown will play out. However, with all the steps government and the company is taking it seems it is a good hold for a recovery play, imho. DYOR. | saurish
03/4/2020 08:39 | GOG : and now the bus business better protected... so why has it more than halved in value?.... "Approximately 90% of total Group revenues are now derived from contracted markets where there is no direct revenue risk from changes in underlying travel demand.? | wigwammer
30/3/2020 07:29 | Either I'm missing something or this company is grossly undervalued. I got in at the last covid19 update and the price action has been nothing short of bizzare. Hopefully, with further increase in contracted revenues the market will rerate this to reflect a half decent valuation. | saurish
30/3/2020 07:10 | GOG : "Approximately 90% of total Group revenues are now derived from contracted markets where there is no direct revenue risk from changes in underlying travel demand." | wigwammer
25/3/2020 16:13 | Some prize one plonker has been trying to short this all week. Take the opposite side. He/she is literally handing you money :) | wigwammer
23/3/2020 07:18 | GOG: "Approximately 75% of Group revenues are derived from contracted markets where there is no direct revenue risk from changes in underlying travel demand." | wigwammer
20/3/2020 12:55 | I bought yesterday at 510. I think this fall is overdone. GOG might lose a year's worth of earnings but it has a massive well covered dividend yield and money in the bank. I also think we are at maximum panic on covid-19 and, though deaths will continue to rise, there will be more positive news on testing, vaccines, and a reduction in panic buying. No more room in people's houses fo bog rollss! Lots of bargain shares. I think this is one. | barnesian
20/3/2020 00:40 | Buy short term for a bounce :) | g2theary
13/3/2020 10:34 | I have bought this massive dip ... is that the right thing to do ? Massive dividend yield here. The recent profit warning on COVID-19 was not a total disaster. | mronions
13/3/2020 10:33 | Stock has been battered since COVID19 has come to UK shores. Company issued a profit warning, but no disaster. What happens the stock gets destroyed. Has it been over done? Massive dividend here. | mronions
11/2/2020 09:03 | Today's news: Go-Ahead will benefit from transport infrastructure investment in the North, particularly as the investment includes better local connectivity with buses and light rail. | barnesian
21/1/2020 13:28 | Go-Ahead could benefit from transport infrastructure investment in the North, particularly if the investment includes better local connectivity with buses and light rail. London benefits from excellent local connectivity. Major cities and conurbations in the North and Midlands could too, if they get a fair share of the investment. | barnesian |
