Fundamentally the Peters used to be in control of this company, owning some 40% of the shares. The dilutions have meant that they now aren't (and one has died anyway)..... so basically the whole company is up for grabs very easily and will be sold to the highest bidder.Forget the farmout idea - this is all about what price the whole company gets taken over at. IMO the option structure tells you that it will be a minimum of 1.2p per share (but probably under 2p....unless everyone becomes massive Namibia enthusiasts after Venus is drilled).

Both had news released after the share price had gone up(insiders buying in) 4. Both then had placing immediately 5. Further dilution, but at least at prices 10%+ higher than the last round. It remains the case, however, that the company value is trivially small in the context of the scale of the potential oil resources it has rights over and below the cost of obtaining the data already in its possession.

Dog companies which suddenly come alive before any news shows1. Insiders buying in before the news2. They are in on the placing so will be pumping away to forward sell their stock3. This happened with TRP and the same duplicate names were pumping away TRP has had its placing announced today

"The work commitment for the upcoming phase of the licence is to acquire and process 2,000 square kilometres of 3D seismic data, a commitment which Global expects to fulfil via a farm-out". GBP RNS 10 August 2021

You have clearly not researched GBP's cash position nor the cost cutting measures that were announced earlier on this year. Why someone would waste time & energy posting on a share that they do not own is very strange.

I'm in a similar rachael777, I won't be leaving it until the end of September to look in on GBP, I will be regularly checking the share price & chat pages. You just know the derampers will be out in force spinning false narratives about GBP in the coming weeks/months. It is funny, when you ask a deramper whether they own GBP shares, you are met with silence. I wish them well.

I have held these for an age as i suspect have many shareholders - the original intention was to hold until another company proved a working viable oil basin existed - never expected GBP would ever get close to an actual drill themselves and still dont but now there finally seems to be some drilling action imminent then its just a case of holding for a bit longer whatever the pumpers may be up to garner their 20%. I may look in again end of september hoping that venus is a stunner!

At 45-46 years of age I would think most would have learnt that many stocks move more on sentiment and potential than actual results.As Noel would say 'you gotta roll with it'.Exactly the same happened at RMS when it was 0.5p before it hit 4p.And many many more...each to their own and all that but there is money to made out there on stocks like these with such low market caps
