19/11/2019 08:09 | Tooling up for Venus well looks to be early in New Year | jimarilo
18/11/2019 19:03 | From ECO BB on ADVFN....... poster maccamcd18 Nov '19 - 16:58 - 5972 of 5981 I had a very comforting meeting with Gil & Peter Nicol (Scottish oil man) ...........and then went on regarding Guyana Regarding Namibia "Namibia hot property at the moment. Intimating some good news for us 3-7 weeks" This is significant as we could be directly involved here at best, if not, could still have a very positive knock on effect. Certainly shows there is much activity going on in the back ground ;-) Here is Gil last Wednesday speaks Namibia 8 mins in......mentions upcoming wells and corporate activity and all sorts of partnerships | jimarilo
18/11/2019 00:03 | Seems Oranto extended their blocks in PEL43, which expired December 2018 and they have two renewal periods of two years each they, may enter into. A firm well is required to renew each period If they took this option they need to drill a well this coming year in PEL43 adjacent to our 94 This is an old mandate (but highlights the above) and since has seen Rosneft sign an agreement with Oranto across their African interests | jimarilo
14/11/2019 09:53 | Oh dear.... Says, "Shell discovers potential" nothing wrong with that From data collected so far they intend to drill a well and therefore intend to add additional funding to confirm their thoughts This supports others views of a potential significant discovery in Namibia | jimarilo
14/11/2019 09:18 | I think the word discovers is a bit premature | fardels bear
13/11/2019 22:35 | Shell discovers potential oil or gas offshore Namibia Business - News | 2019-11-13 | jimarilo
13/11/2019 08:55 | Agreed, it looks like the majors are in control, with Exxon favoring the North of the region | jimarilo
13/11/2019 08:06 | "In Namibia, Tullow completed the acquisition of a 56% operated interest in offshore Block 2813B from Calima Energy. Prospectivity includes a Cretaceous turbidite play which is expected to be calibrated by industry drilling in the area next year.".......this is the way those with acreage are looking at their positions - watching other wells that either encourage or discourage. | emptyend
12/11/2019 16:57 | The Sanco Swift and Sanco Scorpio have now entered into the top of block 1909 adjacent to our block 1910B S 19*.07 x E 9*.34 Be interesting to see where they go from here ;-) | jimarilo
12/11/2019 10:06 | Here is the Frontier list of 30 Confirmed Companies Attending the Big Five Board Awards 2019 The finalists from the list will be in the final places I noticed Africa Oil Corp,Seacrest, Seapulse, High Power Petroleum and Azinam were present, just when I thought Seapulse had gone by the wayside, but looks very much involved still This is the list of the finalists Note that Maggy Shino is in there, Petroleum Commissioner, Ministry of Mines & Energy, Namibia | jimarilo
12/11/2019 09:24 | The Maersk Voyager is now free from Kosmos making it's way to Angola for Total and two wells, before heading to Namibia for the Venus 1 well Local Time: 2019-11-12 00:06 (Time Zone UTC+1) Time UTC: 2019-11-11 23:06 Position Lat/Lon: 1.381667° / 9.051666° Speed/Course: 6.0 knots / 242° Area: WAFR Gulf of Guinea Source of Position: TERR-AIS | jimarilo
11/11/2019 16:08 | I wondered what Gil was on about at the start of the link I posted earlier 8.07 mins in. He is an excitable character Gil says it is a bit tricky, to give any detail as the worlds oil industry is here and for Namibia In other words can say much, as the world oil industry are next to where he is sitting Worth listening again | jimarilo
11/11/2019 01:40 | Exxon have so far surveyed their block's 1710A, 1710B, 1810 and half our block 1910. All of which are directly above our PEL29 . Referencing the map below, the main fairway that runs through Exxons PEL44 and 82, runs straight into our PEL29 and half of 94, in fact opens up within the whole of PEL29 Within the GBP blocks and TRP block 1910A and all in the same fairway, there are huge prospects, Alpha, Gamma, Delta (Welwitschia Deep), Gemsbok, Lion, Dik Dik (Choje and Pangolin leads) It is no wonder Exxon are surveying up to these blocks . The phrase I keep hearing is the majors like plenty of running room | jimarilo
10/11/2019 15:49 | Here is a taster of the full interviews coming new week from Malcy at the AOW Mike Lakin of Envoi (formally Serica) 5.03 mins in , talks of the seal in Namibia and the two discoveries that were made below this seal Mike spoke of this seal at the Africa E&P conference May this year and said drillers thought this area was over pressured and stopped drilling those that drilled through found hydrocarbons. The over pressured area is since found to be the Aptian Shale acting as a seal Gil 8.07 mins in, talks of Namibia and expectations of a discovery and because Majors like Exxon, Shell and Total have arrived other majors/large oil companies will have to take up acreage. Sounds like the place (AOW) is full of those trying to take part in Namibia | jimarilo
10/11/2019 11:50 | Two jobs advertised South Africa The one on the 9th could be for Total an the Brulpadda wells The other says apply to Houston, could it be Exxon in Namibia ? | jimarilo
08/11/2019 07:49 | Total and their super computer are very positive for a result here, if others are looking to conclude deals at a relative discount it will have to be ahead of up coming wells, Venus 1 in particular imo | jimarilo
08/11/2019 00:13 | Total set for busy 2020 Africa wildcat programme French giant planning up to 10 exploration wells off continent, with South Africa, Angola and Namibia high on agenda The Maersk Voyager is currently plugging the well discovery for Kosmos just up the road in the Gulf of Guinea and then travels to Angola for two wells and then we have Venus 1, looking like January imo | jimarilo
06/11/2019 00:00 | Shell mulls options for Namibia wildcat Supermajor to choose between three prospects for well that may spud in a year, with hunt for rig to soon begin Speaking alongside Shino on Tuesday, Karyna Rodriquez, vice president of geosciences at seismic player TGS, said Namibia shows signs of similar mixed turbidite-contourite systems that have thrown up huge discoveries at the likes of Tullow Oil’s Jubilee field off Ghana, the Sergipe oil discoveries off Brazil and, potentially, ExxonMobil’s giant Liza oil find off Guyana. | jimarilo
05/11/2019 23:31 | I agree TRP licenses look interesting but so does Serica's and I have the luxury if holding masses of those already, as I believe you do also. | fardels bear
05/11/2019 23:16 | Certainly there are no indicators of rumor as yet and the market are obviously otherwise engaged. Even whilst the company have said they started initial talks and then further talks with counter parties. The link posted today says, Exxon are expected to start exploration by the year end and they are gunning for what it believes will be an “elephant find” Exxon seem very confident and it would be sensible to think, a company looking to increase or take up an interest, would do so ahead of what could be a successful well result Lets hope the market is wrong and holders have the advantage ;-)) FB here is an example of what TRP have in their blocks regarding multiple source rocks | jimarilo
05/11/2019 22:31 | Yes the Aptian could provide a regional seal.. There's nothing going on above it much. | fardels bear
05/11/2019 20:10 | The market cap is indicating farm out or corporate deal unlikely - hopefully that is wrong :-) | yasrub
05/11/2019 19:59 | Many geologists disagree with you FB, Andrew Sekandi is quite right to say geologically there are similar characteristics between Brazil and Namibia, much has been written and I would suggest Exxon, Shell, Kosmos, Total, Tullow, Africa Oil Corp, Repsol and many more will have an advantage over you or me, as to what is in the ground or not Just remember only 17 wells over a massive region have been drilled to date. Very few have drilled below the Aptian shale which, is now said to act as a seal. The few wells that have drilled through the shale have found hydrocarbons. This is how the Kudu gas field was discovered A miracle will not be required, technology will win the day ;-) | jimarilo
05/11/2019 16:58 | Then Andrew Sekandi should put on his new specs and look at a map. The Namibian basins are analogous to the Argentine Petolas Basin. Not a lot been found there. And the intrusion of the Walvis Ridge? I'd expect that to impinge on the source kitchen. On the other hand, I'm hopeful of a miracle. | fardels bear |
