Paul Howlett senior geologist/exploration manager is the consultant putting todays numbers together

Quite rightly I think he has been conservative, looking at the potential shown on the TRP CPR below, slide 6, showing the Albian zone in the Delta prospect (Welwitschia prospect)@ 2bn bbls mid case. This is the deepest reservoir in the CPR and sits on the Aptian. GBP's numbers are based on the Aptian zone, not even listed by TRP

It is not listed because the model was flawed and the new concept bears this out

Neither zones were reached by the Welwitschia well drilled by Repsol and today those deeper targets are the primary targets for the majors and their up coming wells

GBP have the Aptian @ just under 1bn bbls mid case and 2bn bbls high case. Until the drill bit drills out the Aptian and as said this morning, todays numbers could be very conservative

Don't forget our block next door PEL29, here is the GBP CPR showing 3.66bn bbls

Solid close, above all MA's on the daily, weekly & monthly charts! Tomorrow could be interesting... Mcap largely covered by cash balance & 4.6Billion barrels prospective resources (best case), the company looks too cheap!

.....risk depends on what is known about the basin. If elements like source and seal are derisked by drilling elsewhere then the pre-drill CoS will improve.

I don't have a fixed view on that. But significantly above here, given the control position, assuming that Namibia generates proper interest from majors.

I think if the Aptian is a regional seal this basin blows wide open.

The problem used to be the seal, however since the Totals Brulpadda well (S/A), it has confirmed wells that have hit hydrcarbons in the Orange basin and Walvis basin all drilled through the pressurised Aptian shale which acted as the seal.

The Aptian shale is found deeper than the previous wells including Cormorant and Prospect "S" and also including the TRP Welwitschia, so called glowing in the dark

Total will be testing their concept with the up coming Venus 1 well
