Problem is big liquid stocks like Astra, Gsk get sold to pay for the losses of traders, hedgies leveraged up in long positions, so your winners have to be sold.

Hi Abdulla, I don't see a catastrophe, i see a buying opportunity. My capital value overall may be down but i don't need to sell. It will recover by the time i need to dip into the capital although the plan is to live off the income. The div yield of stocks i want to buy is now much higher than a week ago, and the value they will pay me will be much the same this year as last. Lots of shares now have good looking P/E's

And on Thursday 27th Feb , a team of Israeli scientists one-upped the US, boasting that they could have a vaccine ready "in a few weeks.

According to a statement cited by the Jerusalem Post, a team of Israeli scientists are on the cusp of developing the first vaccine against the novel coronavirus, according to Israel's Science and Technology Minister, Ofir Akunis. If all goes as planned, the vaccine could be ready within a few weeks and available for human use in 90 days.

For four years, a team of scientists at MIGAL has been developing a vaccine to combat infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), which causes a bronchial disease affecting poultry. The effectiveness of the vaccine has been demonstrated during preclinical trials carried out at the Veterinary Institute.

During the process, they discovered a process for developing new vaccines that they expect will help facilitate a novel coronavirus vaccine in world-beating time.

Amazing how even after 14 years the ramping BS always sounds the same.. this is huge, going to blow, get in now, 10 bagger.. rinse and repeat (yawn). Going on to GSK this has shown a bit more resilience in the last few days, but can't help wondering if this is predicated in fairly unrealistic hopes that it will play a timely and significant part in delivering the Covid-19 vaccine
