GSK going up but GBP / USD static. Maybe because there's an expectation that pound will fall because of Brexit delay. Will be interesting to see what happens when EU decide on 14 day or 3 month extension.

Looks a good deal on the sale of the two travel vaccines to Bavarian Nordic. Five years production in Germany before transfer helps GSK in gearing up for core, refocused cancer drugs. Initial 301m euros upfront then stage payments bringing the total to 995m euros.

So the rise in this was generated purely by weak sterling, unsettling....brexit will be a soft slightly worse than Theresa’ deal or hopefully just revoked and we can get this impoverishing currency trashing sxxtshow waste of time over. Either way bombed out sterling will at last bounce, so this set for more weakness. Im back into GSK when they are mid 15’s again.

Abdulla,

"When" Brexit is dead you'll have more worrying things to think about.
For democracy will have been overturned.

And history shows us how that pans out.

Depends upon whether you are predicting a rise or fall in cable (long or short in eg GSK).

So when Brexit is dead the pound will go down again and GSK will rise out of the ashes,I doubt it.

Seems increasingly that the GSK share price is driven not by the markets, not by sales, not by pipeline products or business development or corporate actions, but by the short-term £/USD exchange rate!

"ViiV Healthcare files U.S. application for expanded use of HIV med Dovato"

ViiV Healthcare has submitted a supplemental marketing application to the FDA seeking approval to use Dovato (dolutegravir and lamivudine) as a switch treatment for HIV-1 infection in virologically suppressed adults on a stable antiretroviral regimen with no treatment failure.

I firmly believe that no mainstream UK party actually wants to be in power at the moment, or indeed since the referendum result. However, despite all the talk, I do not feel too worried about the immediate future for the likes of GSK and more specifically for we shareholders. This remains one of the few stocks I hold that I feel very relaxed about, so hopefully this confidence is not foolishness on my part! GLA.

@Abdulla.

It will take some time to implement.
And unlikely if there isnt a Democrat in the White House next November.
