22/2/2019 08:58 | TM I personally think you'll end up with the consumer part being valued at very high levels along with all the rest of the consumer goods companies. And then the rest of the group valued extremely highly too as the market will suddenly think of GSK as a world leader in HIV, vaccines with cancer coming down the pipeline too. I fully expect to be able to achieve £20 + for my holding here - which is large thanks to a far flung member of the family who's broker 60 years + ago mistakenly added an extra few 0's to the order for whatever this was back in the day : ) | nimbo1

22/2/2019 07:54 | Good morning! GSK maker said that within three years of closing the deal with Pfizer, which is expected in the second half of 2019, it will demerge and float the consumer health business, splitting GSK into two distinct businesses: one focused on consumer, the other on pharmaceuticals and vaccines. Does anyone project how soon after the 'second half of 2019' (up to 3 years) the split will occur (and what the sum of the parts would be for an existing GSK share holder)? | tradermichael
21/2/2019 14:57 | Yes...weak STG has underpinned dividend for last two years. An agreement and resulting strengthening of STG will squeeze profits considerably | zicopele
21/2/2019 12:52 | Interesting snippet US healthcare spending side.... "U.S. healthcare spending to rise 5.5% per annum over next decade" According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), U.S. healthcare spending is expected to rise 5.5% each year over the next decade, reaching ~$6T by 2027 (19.4% of GDP). Prescription drug spending is forecasted to rise 5.6% per year between 2018 and 2027 as is hospital spending." | wbecki
