If BSE hit the USA , which it probably won't, then their beef herds would be decimated. Upon eradication of the desease beef socks would need to be rebuilt. GNS are the worlds largest supplier of the necessary ingredient. 235p not going to be around tomorrow. |
How is the mad cow outbreak in the US going to effect them - as may drive people away from beef again over there and onto other meats (like in the UK) ?. 2 cows now found to be infected. |
contract for supply of F&M vaccine is good news. I like monopolies. Does anyone have any info on terms? eg retainer/pricing basis? Also, what's the deal re merger? Is this like the MMC? Could the deal be stopped? |
I think they've been tipped somewhere. Lots of relatively small buys today.
I currently have a target price of 350.

i can only think today's price rise is because others have caught on to the upside for this share. in the uk genus has an effective monopoly on all the best bulls and the wherewithal to deliver [the bull in the bowler hat]. their expansion into australia and the americas has been cleverly managed. they are conservative and cash rich - a cash bull in fact - and have recently freed up shares to enable institutional investors to increase holdings. so i'm a big fan and recomend these shares for income and capital growth. does anyone know of any takeover potential? |
Anyone know whats going on?? Down 5% on the day!! |
Do you have a link to whatshot.com?? |
Tipped again today (whatshot.com); fancied to go to 250 in 2 weeks; 300 next year. Looks like more likely to halt at 212 this time (maybe 220 intraday?) before 21 aug statement |
Well Lee what do you think of them now? Are they going to do anything soon???????? |
22nd of May, I believe,
GB |
When are results due?? |
This share has certainly lifted prior to the results does anyone know what is happening? |
MACHO IS STILL MUCHOS GRACIOUS Remember Macho Man, the super bred bull, from last year? The company that breeds these animals is called Genus and they have delivered super strength results along with their product that helped to make top beef. The trading will be inline with market expectations and when you look around at the rest of the scrawny and underfed market, the cows are definitely bringing home the milk here. Genus is a word used for classification and Genus are definitely class! Anyone on for a longer bull ride?..... |
anyone got any idea on the 900k trade just gone through at mid-price? |

Genus (GNS.L) - a sound balance sheet and good cash flow is not fully reflected in 171p share price. |
H E Wents,
Definitly not!!
I think there is a 30% fair growth in it's share price over the next 12 months.
Ie target of 230p. |
