Been in and out of these for past 9 months or so but am currently holding a fair few and have been adding at these levels as feel they are well undervalued on a 2 to 3 year perspective. Well down on my average buy price but happy to hold and keep adding at the 80p level. They have got rid of Ghagoo which is positive, the mine lease extension is well overdue confirmation, that's runs to 2034 so when it's announced it should see a rise in price as long as the terms are OK. Should be a Q2 update later this month.

I just had a nibble 3,091 shares. Fingers crossed it shoots up once this down trend is broken.

Hi guys, im a stockopedia subscriber, by their algos everything looks good but the Altman Zscore shows high likelyhood of financial distress within 2yrs. Im not quite sure why because the debt level as on stocko figures is low and as i said before all the other metrics look good esp as it passes 3 separate screens. Anyone have any input? its the only thing stopping me from pressing buy button for another starter position other than no divi. think i sold out b4 at about 120 after buying first tranche at i think 150 then topping up at around 100 then 85 took some pain in the market but it did make some money would have made more but disposed of some at my average buy price to de risk. Tempting at this level though. Another co that i held a few years took pain but now in profit and still do is NXR but at least with them i got a circa 4% divi while i waited for it to produce a meaningful rtn. now waffling but any input on the first bit or other co's that are at lows but have potential over a month to 2yrs wld b appreciated

JP Morgan Cazenove today reaffirms its neutral investment rating on Gem Diamonds Ltd (LON:GEMD) and raised its price target to 120p (from 100p).

GEMD should now be mining the satellite pipe rather than main pipe, as in first half, which should yield bigger stones and more carats in theory.

Am assuming the appointment of a local Lesotho non executive director with good knowledge of the mine and region is partly to do with getting the final T and C s sorted with respect to the mine lease extension, good news IMO.

Would also expect the mine lease extension to be announced in the 2nd half. That should also boost the price as long as the terms are favourable.

They said at the full year results for 2018 presentation that they expected to recover less decent sized stones in the 1st half compared to the 2nd. This was down to the cut and area they were mining.
