It never had a proper bounce this year!

Now Liberum downgrades to hold with a target price of 60p.

The BoD coming under increasing pressure from the big shareholders I see....

Wonder if Sustainable Capital are tempted to top up, they already hold 20% of the shares at an average of what must be 80p ish.

Due to the company's lack of action, GEMD's stock price was severely undervalued. The company has good cash and reasonable income but failed to pay dividends to shareholders. The company has recovered many large-size diamonds this year but has failed to disseminate news to the broad community.

Rough diamond prices have continued to fall this year, but have fallen by less than 6% so far, and have seen signs of bottoming this week, up 0.06%. Although GEMD had a turnover of 209.6 and a profit of 57.2, its share price fell by almost 50%. It seems that some major shareholders may be in trouble. This could be a good time for the brave bargainers.

Not sure why the price is under so much pressure, any thoughts?

Hope you're right! At this rate we'll all have to vote for Corbyn as the capitalist system of saving and thrift obviously isn't working and will need a decent state pension to live on instead!

There must be many in the same boat but the diamond market will turn and I am sure these shares will rebound sharply eventually

I'm not selling now and have said the same about all my bloody so called investments! I need a 55% increase across the board just to get back to break even now and that's my pension! Wish I'd just stuck all my cash in the bank at zero interest now instead of the stick market casino. There should be health warnings insured about the UK market dangers by the FSA but not a ducky bird!

Will stick my neck out and say 2020 will be a good year for GEMD and the share price, target 100p level, will be topping up again at these prices, the quality of their diamonds and extended lease into 2030 make it a strong buy for me.

Actually on GEMD website, it says
"A 120 carat top quality Type IIa white diamond recovered at the Letseng mine on 20 November. Another diamond of 125 carats of low quality was recovered on 19 November."

Sadly, from the share price, it seems like last year rather than a few days before.

Yes you know exactly what you are going to get (or not get in this case) in these updates. Plenty of scope for rises in share price from these levels for those prepared to hold and wait imo.

"Business Transformation:

· The targeted US$ 100 million in incremental revenue, productivity improvements and cost savings over the 4-year period to end 2021 is on track to be delivered and is expected to deliver US$ 50 million by the end of 2019."

It is fantastic the way they give sooooo much information on this......

the number of 100ct stones being recovered is encouraging not much else though
