Fascinating discussion on what's happening in the Uranium market.

It's a must watch.

MASSIVE 8.5% JUMP in NAV with today's RNS announcement.

NAV as at close on:-

Thursday 23rd - 39.80p

Friday 24th- 43.24p

And the NAV is pregnant with another potential 5% or more uplift when Ivanhoe Electric joins the market - hopefully later this week.

These events are not yet reflected in the current price of 40p.

Yes, apparently a ship due to carry enriched Uranium from Russia to the USA has been blocked. I understand it's a Canadian owned vessel and moving material from Russia would be violate Canadian law.

Should still be a good day for the NAV on Monday with a very strong Toronto session today. Prices are currently:-

Cameco + 6%
Energy Fuels + 8%
Denison +9%

If you add in a further prospective 5% increase in portfolio NAV when Ivanhoe Electric IPO's - the near-term outlook is looking very encouraging indeed.

That's great. Thanks for clarification.

The wording in the RNS is incredibly vague in my view and many will interpret that the uplift in value they are talking about refers only to the position in Ivanhoe - not to the whole portfolio value of GCL.

QP,

They're saying that if the Ivanhoe float goes ahead, then GCLs NAV will increase by 4.9% if Ivanhoe trades at the lower end of the IPO price range.

That's quite a leap.

The 4.30 RNS about Ivanhoe sounds like good news.

Obtuse language.

An increase in value by "490 basis points"

One hundred basis points equals 1%.

Are they saying Ivanhoe's portfolio value has gone up in value by 5% - or do they means it's gone up by 5x ??

My targets for GCL are as follows:

One year 1.87

2-3 years 10.30 with a correction inbetween.

I think these targets are reasonable.

That's what a $Trillion market cap would do for the uranium sector instead of its current miniscule market cap of $30b.

"Winter is coming"!

I seem to remember they issued 1.5m shares not long ago in the 50's. Have the buyers been stopped out, or margin called elsewhere I wonder?

Never thought I'd see these levels again even tho I did expect a wider market sell off. Starting to seriously average in again down here, aiming to become extremely overweight in uranium as I felt I didn't have enough as we moved higher last time.

Someone big wants out of this dog. Always been a disappointment has GCL. Guess i ,m hoping one day that i might have the Willy Wonka golden ticket but never seems to do what fundies with the Uranium market seem to suggest.
Looks like its heading for about 31/32p last seen Aug 2021.
imho

No premium.

Haven't seen that in a while.

Thank you Mr. Market.

Fully agree about the fundamental story.

Should strengthen further.

Natural resources were becoming a popular trade - if not a crowded trade.

I believe that there has been an understandable amount of profit taking by shorter term traders in last few sessions.

Poised for next leg up after recent shake-out.

Back to pretty much the bonus rights price. Ouch.

However, I still have confidence in the fundamental story. Looks like we have to wait for the wider markets to go back to risk on.

Given the weakness in general markets the Uranium miners did well to recover a bit from their lows.
