Overall, the move to sanction or self-sanction Russian nuclear fuel is going to lead to more demand for UF6 and U3O8. And to incentivise new conversion and enrichment facilities in the West, long term contracts for those services and U3O8 are going to be required. Long term contracting cycles are usually accompanied by big price increases.

SPUT raised another $4m today. Bought no more new Uranium, but spot price nudged up to $51.75. SPUT now holds over $110m in cash. They could buy 1.6m lbs (if available at this price and still have $27m cash float.

URNM/URNP is a pure play Uranium ETF. URA has other companies in it for some reason. Even GCL has some none Uranium assets.

It has a transparent methodology and includes some weighting for all Uranium companies with a mkt cap greater than (I think) $50m.

Since end of 2020, GCL has outperformed (adjusting for the exchange rate), but gave up a lot of that outperformance at the end of April, when it went to a discount to NAV. Gained some of it back now it's gone back to a premium.




I suspect the easy availability of URNM/URNP to UK investors will result in lower GCL premiums to NAV. But today's issue of 1.4m shares at a decent premium puts a hole in that theory.

Good ideas on this Board. I followed suit and sold some GCL to get a starter position in URNP. Love Sprott uranium funds.

URNP is definitely there in AJ Bell - I hold it in my SIPP. If you can't find it by ticker, search for Sprott Uranium Miners.

I have moved lock-stack-n-barrel from GCL to URNP & YCA 50:50 now in my SIPP. I still have GCL and YCA 50:50 in my ISA.

Funny I rebalanced some GCL into URNP today, HL account now 70:30 still in favour GCL - fees being the main motivator Can't find URNP on AJ Bell. anyone know if they have it?
