Energy is a BIG issue in 3rd world countries. Bit by bit its starting to take shape. I've been in GCM and its predecessor Asia Energy for a very long time but I feel our time is not that far away as there is too much happenings on the ground to ignore it.
I will remain positive and optimistic.

Yeah strong as ever, just the Same as ever. This news has nothing to do with the government. It is JUST an mou between the companies. It is searching, it is trying to jog the bangla government yet again to see if they will wake up. The company has exhausted all means of pushing the government into action so they have to just remind them every couple months that we're still here and still hoping for a permit to extract coal one day.

Yes I'm a shareholder and have been since 2008. Only I didn't pay 40p, I got 14p. I jumped in on the xmas08 hasina spike whilst the market was sleeping off its Turkey dinner.

It’s not restating previous rns’s is it though.

Previous RNs have said they are looking for a mining partner. This Rns says they have now found one, so, new news.

Albeit it is currently only an MOU, so nothing certain these guys will end up being GCM’s partner.

Oh it's not negative. It's just not newsworthy progress, it's just a restating of an already known mou which we've been told about 27/Nov, 21/dec, 17/Jan, 15/mar.

Exactly Baxy. Approval is the real return. Years off? With global climate issues speed is of the essence. Fortunately the chinese and Trump believe in coal but Trump is on a timer so this has to gather pace fast or Bangladesh could miss the boat and be frozen out. If it's going to happen it will have to be quick.

This is more significant progress on the way to the green light. The green light will be given as part of a major infrastructure project to provide much needed power to Bangladesh. The scenario is very different to much of the last 14 years when we were just trying to get a mine going. The team is being put in place and all these serious players would not be spending their time and money unless they were very confident that the project will proceed. A good day for GCM.

SlimMick - Nice attitude!!....
Absolutely nothing new. More of the same. Lets see when the proposal goes in then (It's taken almost 3 times as long as they said it would when it was first announced)
