My Sipp account certainly looks a lot healthier this month. Lets hope it continues that way.

New coal fired power plants springing up isn't doing us any harm.

Nice find Michael. There certainly seems to be a more accepting attitude to OP mining. Slowly but surely maybe. It is a government trick to slowly and subtlety condition folk a bit at a time for an unpopular policy.

Open cut mining of local coal wherever is feasible is going to be the most appropriate .There are proven technologies for managing all technical challenges and other impacts.
