Local community won't allow them to mine, gcm will have to raise cash and sue the govt. It as simple as that..

If it was only about Bara why hasn't it shot back up.

Carry on dreaming folks, GOB will wait GCM out to go bust then mine phulbari themselves, you watch.

Only return here will be from compo, mark my words!

Still, buying at this price for the compo long haul would be a good return

Could not resist. Greed got the better of me. As a pure gamble bought at 11.2p earlier. Hanging on the article being more about Barapukuria than Phulbari. BD is deperate for power. See what happens.

What are the chances another article comes out over the weekend that is pro open mining. If I were GCM or anyone with contacts and trading this then I would get a friendly paper to write something.

The bangla government will do what they want Don't be fooled by an rns saying we have rights guvnor. It shows the gcm board have very serious doubts about whether this will actually go ahead. They are considering the what-ifs for when bangla says no.Either way, it's going to be very long and very costly.Lol and back in xmas 2008 when hasina came to power and gcm shot up, we all enjoyed a ten bag.....there is no chance of it happening now, 8 years later and no progress.Somebody switch the lights out.

What is it with Asian countries and resources.

Its looking like the way chl were 4-5 years ago. Local courts and supreme courts will reject gcm case and then a long tribunal case.

Thankfully chl are near ends.

neo,

just what I was thinking!

So a 3-5 year wait and several placings required to fund the legal expenses....

I should add that they are subtly letting the GoB also know of their possible intentions too...

If it turns out that the GofB are now favouring Phulbari over other sites this share price will rocket.

An okay response from the Company.

"The Company, through its subsidiaries, has a legally enforceable contract with the Government of Bangladesh which gives it the right to explore, develop and mine in respect to the licence areas."

The above suggests to me they would consider legal action

So now major decisions of the Bangla Govt are announced by someone giving an interview to The Bangla Sun newspaper? Is that how it works. Long term holders have seen Bangla articles many times over the years good and bad. We need a formal decision properly communicated before we take much notice and if there is a decision not to allow mining then we have the green light to launch a very large claim.

Coincidence that the mm's drop it to the 11p level?

Seems to be the floor.

I see no value here for shareholders anymore. As they will not be able to mine their coal in bangla, what else do they have.Cash is dwindling. They have no other assets, so would need to raise funds to acquire or farmin to sonething or bid for licenses in other countries....ie start from scratch again.A lot of wasted time here in bangla. And very costly for shareholders so far.
