Good to see the share price holding up to 680p plus instead of the normal large retrace we get after results.

Cannacord Genuity have halved their holding,by my quick calculations they sold about 19 million shares.

Since the share price remained high on the day of sale -the day of results- it suggests they were snapped up by other institutional investors :-)

Since we have no other notifiable announcements it’s likely these buyers hold less than 4%

Given this sale and the director sales, the share price has actually reacted extremely well- not surprisingly as results were excellent and outlook is bullish.

If the share price should fall to 640p or below I Will buyback all the shares I sold at 720p

Wow, that was a nice earner
I applaud the reward of options based on performance, and the full entitlement of directors to then sell, HOWEVER, I really do start to ponder on the merits of giving someone shares for 2.5p that can be sold for 710p? I guess having seen Corbyn plans for CGT if he got in they decided to sell now ;-)

Edison have released their latest analysis which of course includes some information gleaned from the post results analyst call, it makes a very good read.

It’s obvious that GBG are on the merger and acquisition trail, I like the fact that management are ‘tempering’ expectations for H2 and maintain their target of organic growth of the year to be 10-12% , IMHO this sets them up for a nice beat for FY results

As I alluded to yesterday re the risks of retailers suffering fraud around ‘Black Friday’ here is the latest GBG Blog

This article inThe Times today shows the scale of the problem facing Banks with fraudulent attempts to open accounts, horrible but grist for the mill for GBG

L, I, F - location, identity and fraud are going to be really big ‘buzz’ words of the future, GBG seems to be in a real sweet spot to offer the solutions.

Webcast now available on GBG site of yesterday’s analyst presentation, only negative is we don’t get to hear the Q&A

If you have difficulty go here and register

I would encourage all investors to listen in to the 35minute presentation, it’s really encouraging and ‘listening’ is far better than reading and one gets more information

Highlights for me

2/3 of growth from existing customers but very encouraging is 1/3 growth from NEW customers, including 1St Chinese clients and expansion into Vietnam, Thailand , India and Taiwan

Amongst new customers are Nike, and John Lewis

Very upbeat presentation and in a week which includes ‘Black Friday’ and all the hullabaloo about fraud and money mulling, GBG have all the solutions to not only customers fraud issues, but also location and identity.

I admit to selling 1/4 of my large holding yesterday at 720p, it’s all about taking some profits along the way folks, any sign of share price weakness and that money will be reinvested, I am more than happy to sit on the rest of what is a long term investment and the strong prospect of a growing dividend with finals - this is a wonderful growth story with ultra strong, focused management.

My share price target for the run to finals and the full year trading update in March is 760p -770p FWIW ( I think that’s conservative, especially if further acquisitions occur)

i have Bought Phonelink ,Telme and latterly GBG on a constant basis since 1998 if i remember correctly. From 15.4p up to £3.00 having spread the ownership of the stock between all the family members taking profits and buying back. This stock has been a great investment. I have had a few problems , like most investors, with other stocks which is natural but still looking out for new runners and riders.

Any bid for GBG would now have to be in excess of £10 IMHO.

com - Identity data intelligence group GB delivered better-than-expected first-half results as profit more than doubled following a jump in revenue amid strong organic growth and acquisitions.

For the six months ended 30 September 2019, pre-tax profit more than doubled to £8.6m from £3.6m on-year as revenue surged 62% to £94.3m.

Adjusted operating profit jumped 119% of £21.5m.

Revenue and adjusted operating profit were both £0.6m ahead of the performance detailed in the pre-close trading update issued on 24 October 2019, the company said.

Revenue growth was driven by recent acquisitions and the favourable timing of some contracts for its fraud division, which were completed in the first six months, it added.

Looking ahead, GB said it remained 'confident' about meeting full-year consensus for revenue and profit.

could easily see 700p plus today and I do not see much of a retrace after that,
