18/3/2003 13:34 | Hi, I think all 3 companies are all subject to bids/approaches. I think that KBC Peel Hunt is broker to all 3 companies concerned, that is: Tandem Group/DCS Group/Galileo Innovation. Tandem nor DCS are behind the approach for Galileo. A guess is that the share deals concern the parties interested in taking over the above 3 companies. I am sure however that the same party is not interested in taking over the above 3. 18/3/2003 10:38 | Well i make it 175k buys and the same level of sells - people either selling due to uncertainty or someone selling to keep the price down? | ginto
18/3/2003 10:38 | knopfler - totally agree. It's a total gamble now. Just couldn't bring myself to possibly throw good money after bad. I average over 500k @ 2.22p and couldn't afford to buy enough to average down that far anyway. | moneypit23
18/3/2003 10:34 | seriously though, is it worth the risk with all the uncertainties, the result, the offer, suspension, what if the offer fails (due diligence), what if the situation is worse than we think. it has to be an outright gamble with all the uncertainties. for the brave only, that's for sure. | knopfler
18/3/2003 10:28 | good answer :-) | knopfler
18/3/2003 10:17 | I was offered 1.12p to buy, so that's the point. | moneypit23
18/3/2003 10:05 | it's 1.25p to buy so what's the point. you will never get your average below 1.25p mr k. any thoughts on the action group putting in a counter bid. | knopfler
18/3/2003 09:56 | had my finger on the trigger twice but bottled it | moneypit23
18/3/2003 09:53 | thinking about it......... | bigspuds
18/3/2003 09:52 | anyone buy to average down to near 1.25p? | moneypit23
18/3/2003 09:39 | May as well wait for the 1.25p at these prices... | itstelboy
18/3/2003 09:37 | now 1.25p is looking good :-( | knopfler
18/3/2003 09:33 | .5 bid, suspension on he way?????? | doodle1
18/3/2003 09:19 | Knopfler, Cheers. | jubjee
18/3/2003 08:50 | i would be interested to know how we stand (and gai for that matter) legally if gai deliberately take us in to suspension with an offer pending. i would assume that they would not be allowed to do this, therefore i would expect a statement from the board in reply to the offer. even if it's only to say they reject the initial offer. they could in theory, then enter suspension and do a deal from within. it will be interesting to see if their next statement concerns the offer or the results, if we get one and it is the offer first then i hold no hope for the results. further, i would expect a statement indicating a release date for the results sometime this week, again if we don't, i cannot see the results being published. oh what a tangeled web we have. | knopfler
18/3/2003 08:25 | Do GAI 'intend' to issue any results or are they awaiting suspension prior to any buyout deal? Is there any way of finding this out, i.e. does the co. need to issue a notice of issue of results? Regards | jubjee
18/3/2003 07:56 | i too, try to be constructive, even when being critical, it's a shame people can't just read posts at face value and form an opinion without resorting to personal attack. (and before anyone jumps on that - my comments on mr k. were not an attack, they were an observation/statemen whereas kenethrich had to mis-quote my statement in order to justify his own reply. still, everyone to there own! we're still all on the same side after all. | knopfler
18/3/2003 07:29 | Knofler, I try and be constructive and give some decent arguments and I dont consider myself a vindictive person in any way but sometimes I cant resist having a little dig. Like now for instance. MrKornikova (post 1417): "Our board appear to know what they are doing...." Have the GAI board ever known what they were doing? | hugepants
18/3/2003 05:52 | MrKournikova (post 1417): "I am currently of the opinion that our board should be given time to prove their ability and I have every faith in them" You have got to be kidding! Some of you guys need to take a reality check. 12 months ago this company had over 5.5p cash plus some investments. Now they are seriously considering a takeover at 1.25p a share. They invested the cash after the collapse of the tech bubble when valuations were at rock bottom so they have absolutely no excuse for the current situation. I think the management have already more than proved their "ability". | hugepants
17/3/2003 23:15 | Hi J, Thanks very much for what you say. I concur entirely! Charts are going well, when I use them. I like to get the whole picture but yes I do use them. Is the MacD important? How do I use it? MrK I'll email you in more detail soon | mrkournikova |
