23/7/2012 21:27 | Ok cheers ttnyrp. Fingers crossed but not expecting much tbh | georgethefourth
23/7/2012 11:08 | Hi George, nothing specific. I asked what he thought re current sentiment and he was hopeful upcoming news flow would reverse that. So yes, cards close to his chest I guess. Hope this posts ok, sending it from a phone in the middle of nowhere. | ttnyrp
21/7/2012 10:10 | Ttnyrp - did roland give any glimpses of light at the end of this particularly long and dark tunnel? Or was he keeping his cards close to his chest as usual. Doesnt look good here. Weve broken back down through 150ma which has traditionally been pretty good support/resistance for the last few years | georgethefourth
20/7/2012 11:58 | I think Roland should urgently be considering asking Howe to issue an estimate of measurable gold from Kearney, with some variance in the figures to allow for the lack of channel sampling. Surely a big part of our expectations for the latest Howe was to give some idea of recoverable gold from below the current maximum pit depth of 55m [to see if kearney going underground is viable], therefore sidestepping some the importance of channel sampling. It would also be interesting to establish whether Kenglo are able to buy in the open market. | bamboo2
20/7/2012 11:35 | I have proved my powers as Prophet of Doom, quod erat demonstrandum. Paddies around preferred to put blinkers on, would filter my prophesies rather then sell and depart this bogside with remnants of their loot. Behold, yea unfaithful, the drama unfolding- approach of 2p GAL. | fatso
20/7/2012 11:08 | FWIW, I had a brief email exchange with Roland last night about the 2,000 shares dribbed out at any price metronomically every 6 minutes 54 seconds or whatever it was. He told me he is going to bring up the subject at a call with their Canadian broker today. Reading between the lines he seemed about as puzzled as I was when I saw it. | ttnyrp
19/7/2012 21:44 | This looks like its heading back to 2p and quickly | richandjanet
19/7/2012 20:07 | Some odd trading in Toronto today. Looks like someone is offloading their position 2000 shares at a time. About every 5 - 10 minutes they pull the trigger on another 2000 shares. 43 trades today with 123,000 shares traded and it looks like they are not done yet. Back into the bottom drawer again. | goldnoil
11/7/2012 13:13 | Hi topbidd, as far as I know the mm's rarely keep much 'stock' in stock. so someone is buying. You're right about sellers though. I just dont think the mm's keep shares for better times. They are traders more than long term holders. | bamboo2
11/7/2012 11:18 | Hi Bamboo, "Who knows who's buying on those 'busy' high volume days?" Are you sure they're buying? The graph is telling me there are more sellers than buyers here atm. The light is dimming at the end of this tunnel, I'm struggling to see where GAL go from here. Talking of light, it always seems darkest before the dawn, unless of course GAL can pull a rabbit out of the hat & get underground planning permission granted asap. | topbidd
11/7/2012 08:12 | I believe Kenglo are treated as an "insider" and therefore may have restrictions buying in the market. The warrant extension may be for any number of reasons, not all negative. | bahamasoil
10/7/2012 21:05 | Hi topbidd, is there anything stopping him buying in small tranches? say 100,000 a week would make 5m in 50 weeks. That would be about 20% of his warrants. Just a thought. Who knows who's buying on those 'busy' high volume days? | bamboo2
10/7/2012 20:35 | But if he tried to buy on the open market at the volume required the share price would soon rise significantly, presuming of course there are not enough stale bulls to satisfy this demand. | topbidd
10/7/2012 16:53 | If you were Chris Brown, and had already made it clear to management and shareholders that you intended to own a third of the company, would you buy warrants at 10c or buy in the market at 6-8c? Even at 9c that's a 10% saving, with no dilution. | bamboo2
09/7/2012 18:20 | Well that RNS appeared on here & the share price dropped! | topbidd
07/7/2012 23:18 | I think were all fed up with this company continually taking one step forward and then two steps back IT seems very strange that ADVFN does not publish the bad RNS's I really thought that Kenglo coming on board would make a big differance but really nothing has changed All we have to look forward down the road is further dillution What makes it worse is that it is impossible to offload any of these shares | richandjanet
06/7/2012 18:39 | Hi Bamboo, I am also trying to get my head around what was the 'big deal' about the latest RNS. I can't help but think the expense taken to compile that report at this stage was a bit premature, but maybe I'm completely missing the point on something blatently obvious to other observers here. I also think the lack of comment here is telling a story of underwhelmed disapproval. | topbidd
06/7/2012 16:23 | hi topbidd, no not really. what concerns me is that the only reliable source of info is SEDAR. SEDAR takes a while to be updated and it's not that easy to get into SEDAR with codes required. All the info should be on the co website, imo. This has been triggered by an attempt last night to make some sense of the last rns [still not on advfn or the co website] by comparing previous figures with the new ones. I still don't fully understand why kearney has no figure for measured, on the latest rns. I'm struggling to see the point of the rns a few days ago. My news of the latest pp on the same day seemed far more pertinant. Any criticism welcome if I've got the wrong end of the stick. | bamboo2
06/7/2012 12:59 | Are you insinuating that GAL are purposely burying the not so good news? | topbidd
06/7/2012 08:51 | I have developed an issue with the way the company disseminates news. It shouldn't be hard work to find rns's. The company website is hard work with two seperate locations for MD&A and some of the news. Not all the news though. For that you have to jump through the hoops on SEDAR. Advfn has also become hit and miss. | bamboo2
04/7/2012 09:53 | Looks to as though the share price will be going nowhere for the rest of the year Time to go back to sleep | richandjanet
03/7/2012 19:59 | LOL! It's like a line from 'Yes Minister', designed specifically to make your eyes glaze over & nod in gentle agreement! | topbidd
03/7/2012 17:40 | On a quick glance over the figures I am feeling confused [as usual!]. Who writes this stuff?? [eg, "The estimates were calculated using Inverse Distance Squared and Cubed (ID2 and ID3) using parameters established from analysis of the variography within each domain. Based on the variographic analysis, search ellipses were created to enable a four-pass approach to interpolate gold grades into the blocks."] Surely there is a clearer way to put this kind of information forward? Anyway, will have a proper look later. | bamboo2 |
