23/8/2002 13:35 | Getmapping are a bit of a boring share as they have so few holders, so the high price move was amusing, how many shares are there in circulation?? | m80rcs
22/8/2002 12:58 | 4000 shares at 9.4p is a sign that this share will move soon. Just awaiting the outcome of the Ordnance Survey case. The MM's have been acquiring stock recently. 125k at 8p is a bargain for them 2 days ago. The 140% hike was IMO a correction as the company has stated that their growth will be affected by the outcome of the case. This is only the rate of growth, not no growth. Set-up costs should be reduced significantly this year, and a great possibility of showing a profit looking at last years figures. All IMO. Good Hunting All KD | keithjude99
20/8/2002 20:17 | There seems to be a big seller out there. If you look at the trades for the last couple of months someone is offloading a small amount every day, and seems to be taking the advantage of the price rise to offload a few more. | mv5869
20/8/2002 13:15 | Ahhhhh, there is the seller. I was close!!!?!?!? More profit-taking possible after such a hike. Action against OS will be crucial to the size of future growth. May also be keeping price low. Good Hunting All KD | keithjude99
20/8/2002 12:18 | Final Accounts highlights: £2.1m cash NAV £7.3m T/O up 190% Gross Profit up 90% Retail sales significantly ahead of budget. Investment in Spain Downside cash-burn in 2001 was £4.4m, however this has been during a high expense period with set-up costs. Public sector sales impacted by OS action (Court action to be completed soon) Products They sell the maps via the internet, books, pictures etc, to various customers, incl estate agents, surveyors, engineers etc The whole of England and Wales complete Updating in process "The Millennium Map is established as the most complete and up-to-date aerial survey of the UK" - The Chairman This company is already profitable, stripping out the set-up costs, and a purchaser would have to pay over 30p a share to buy this company. You only find companies like this once in a blue moon. Dip in price does not seem to be attracting any sellers. Is there a big buy waiting to be filled, or just a correction because of legal action and cash worries? Not worried at this moment. Might even top up while they are dipping back. Good Hunting All KD | keithjude99
19/8/2002 21:02 | This is just the beginning. This company is already making large amounts of money and would be instantly profitable if it slowed down its new mapping activity. If they win the court case against the OS in September (which they should) the price will rocket and they will win back all the lost county council revenue, although they seem to be doing alright without it. | mv5869
19/8/2002 15:44 | HRH has sold out right? | m80rcs
19/8/2002 15:33 | HRH planted dope in analysts tea this morning ... | clef
19/8/2002 15:28 | this may get hrh out of a whole lot of poo!!!! | sherab
19/8/2002 15:16 | I bought in today, as it looks (if you believe the figures in this day and age) like a healthy company, has a good product and is winning contracts. I was so impressed, I bought (a small bit of) the company. The market value does not justify the potential of this company, and that is why the sudden increase, particularly in view of the contract with OS on Friday. Beware of the price dropping back, after such a large increase. I hope it will continue upwards though, as it has been valued recently at over £1. £30m mv not unrealistic when profitable and a healthy balance sheet. Good Hunting All KD | keithjude99
19/8/2002 15:08 | I'm a very proud Get Mapping share holder, I've never seen a share for years rise like this today!! Any ideas as to what the future holds for this company?? | m80rcs
02/6/2002 13:59 | Well this is unfortunately not the good news we were all expecting, but at least the judge realised the importance to GMP of this case and has asked for an early ruling, this autumn. In the meantime the OS will be continuing to develop their mapping layer. Even if they lose the full case they may continue, but at least they will then be stopped from cross-subsidising it from public funds. I'm hanging on in there. | mv5869
31/5/2002 08:33 | court hearing result today 31st why no sells or buys ?? | bezzaberry
31/5/2002 08:19 | Well i have invested heavily when the price crashed ntoday is the day of reckoning, will i be a millionnaire or not ?? comments please | bezzaberry
30/5/2002 23:04 | to mv5869 well its now 30th may, where is statement ?? | cjw69
23/5/2002 10:21 | From getMapping: The OS hearing took place on 20 and 21 May. The judge will give his judgement either today or tomorrow and we will issue a press release immediately afterwards. | mv5869
23/5/2002 10:20 | From getMapping: The OS hearing took place on 20 and 21 May. The judge will give his judgement either today or tomorrow and we will issue a press release immediately afterwards. | mv5869
22/5/2002 12:31 | i am as bewildered as you re the sale of 42 shares, was it a commision adjustment to an earlier purchase ? bizzare !!! no news yet on the court hearing either way. i cannot believe it is taking place, but with no announcement out it looks as though it must be. | cjw69
21/5/2002 14:11 | According to annual report the hearing for interim compensation with the OS was scheduled for 16th May. Does anyone know if this went ahead, and what the outcome was? As soon as this action is out of the way GMP will soar back to a more sensible valuation. Even without the local council's business they will be profitable, but there is no way the OS can win this case. | mv5869
17/5/2002 10:50 | Who just sold 42 shares?! Surely the dealing charges would be more than the sale. Or is this just some strange anomoly? Can anyone explain. I'm just waiting for the leap. This company has serious revenue prospects. Wait for the good news. Court case settled soon, then a big settlement in their favour. The orders from local councils will be unlocked and there will be a big positive cashflow. AGM in 2 weeks will be interesting. | mv5869
17/5/2002 06:45 | Here we go hang on for the ride it might get a bit bumpy but if your brave enough it could be a good one !!! | bezzaberry
