Ask him in what order he expects the portfolio to reach ipo/trade sales? Nobody is likely to know the answer, but might lead to an interesting discussion |

You could ask if Nandi proteins exist over 3 years since any comment news item on the website Remarkable |
I suspect it's down to redemptions in some cases, but it's on my list! |
Ask him why some institutions recently sold at such a positive stage |
Ask Neil if he will buy some FIPP shares please |
I have a call lined up with Neil Crabb tomorrow, so will add something following on from that. |
Cheers hastings, excellent write-up.
Pulsiv certainly looks extremely exciting - if it succeeds it will be worth a multiple of its current valuation, particularly if it attracts American institutional interest. Great to hear of those advanced orders as you say.
Here's an easier direct link: |
I didn't ask that, as I knew that it wouldn't be revealed! |
Did you dare to ask what they hope charge for the chip? I wouldn’t have expected an answer but just wondered if he had a ballpark figure. I just wondered if we’re looking at 2-3c or 10-20c or 50-75c. |
Pleased you found it of interest acuere.I think the fact they've already got advanced orders for the 65W USB-C modules in place ahead of the official launch along with the aim for significant volumes this year, bodes well. |
Cheers hastings. I do feel they deserve to achieve success and i look forward to the news expected later this month. Also pleased to see he not getting carried away by potential. I’m sure I’m not the only one to have crunched the numbers based on various percentages of target market, and concluded that Pulsiv, if it makes traction, will be worth a lot more than it’s current £50m. |
Write up for interest https://martinflitton1.wixsite.com/privatepunter/post/could-pulsiv-prove-to-be-a-tech-star-for-fipp-01-03-24 |
This is well worth a look, from May last year, so well prior to the most recent news |
Hopefully Alusid will IPO this year and that won’t become necessary. |
D need a similar result in the next 12 months with the remaining portfolio or dilution will be on the way. I believe we have the quality to achieve this |
Yes good to move that holding to cash in the accounts. Whilst it would be nice to think that the £2.5m will be invested in portfolio, I believe that it will be mainly used to cover employee costs, which were £2.1m last year. |
Glad to see that FIPP have taken advantage of the recent uptick in Exscientia's share price to offload the rest of their holding.
That's another £2.54m in the bank, to recycle into the rest of the portfolio:
A £14 million return for a total cost of £2,000 is pretty astonishing. Hopefully the likes of Pulsiv and others will bring in more in terms of capital return even if perhaps not quite as good in percentage terms! |
It sounds very promising. However, I’d say we’re all in the dark regarding this all, as there’s been no skeptical expert to explain the pitfalls (if any) of it all. I think Pulsiv are probably behaving strategically waiting nearer an ipo to reveal sales/ further achievements, rather than a slow burn. |
The new EU rules across the device and USB-C space that become effective in the Autumn should surely benefit Pulsiv and its offering. |
Cheers, sounds pretty revolutionary (to this non-techie anyway!).
The end markets are huge - "a new class of sustainable USB-C chargers, adapters, and in-wall sockets" - and imminent, given the first solution "is expected to be announced towards the end of March 2024".
Pulsiv might have done themselves a favour by putting at the end of the press release a brief bio of their partner Innosceince, since Innoscience are:
"the largest 8-inch Integrated Device Manufacture (IDM) fully focused on GaN technology in the world. We fully control and own the world-wide largest dedicated 8-inch GaN-on-Si wafers manufacturing capacity"
Pulsiv's own press release isn't yet on their web site, so perhaps this suggestion might yet come to pass! |
Very interesting and another extremely positive piece of news. |
Pulsiv in the press. This is one of several electronics sites covering the release. |
I must say, I didn't detect any frustration when I met the CEO last week!Importantly, the tech is an improvement on what is already there, so no reason why it shouldn't make in-roads.Given the vast size of addressable applications, Pulsiv could prove highly successful. The situation reminds me somewhat of Prelude Trust and Alphamosaic back in the day, the latter being acquired by Broadcom for $125m from memory. |
It will be one of the biggest frauds in history if the biggest players in the market place block this outstanding technology. But with the governments worldwide underhand and corrupt goings on sourced and funded in particular the giant pharmaceuticals in the states that will go to any level to stop new medical advances to protect revenue. Let’s hope the power sector his slightly less corrupt. But from everything we know it’s unbelievable it’s not been taken up already. From my brief interactions with management the frustration is felt |
