05/9/2018 08:52 | I would imagine that the Company will do a small post results roadshow, as is the norm, so will be interesting to see what comes out from that in the next few days. | square1
05/9/2018 08:41 | Results as expected - nice forecast numbers for FY19 due to JWE - although I note too the apparent change to the next franchise now being their own IP. I'm glad I was driving for the first half hour the market was open though! I continue to hold. | mark4231
05/9/2018 08:32 | I wonder whether an institution is trying to get onboard. Very powerful price action the last few days | mad foetus
05/9/2018 08:31 | We needed reassurance over the share price dive from 18. No major concerns left after the announcement and the share price level gives an excellent entry point. | alotto
05/9/2018 08:16 | COO Walsh to NED, NOT Braben CEO, runthejoules. SP little changed but up early. | sogoesit
05/9/2018 08:14 | Bond got pushed back recently... | funkmasterp12
05/9/2018 08:11 | Support in danger of going here, I'll wait until close to confirm but out in a flash if it goes, as it's a long way down from there on the chart. | funkmasterp12
05/9/2018 08:11 | Who knows, maybe the film the next one was intended to be based on got pushed back (if so it would mean it's not Star Wars). I actually missed Braben becoming a NED - that is news to me. ANyway, someone knew about all this and was selling down accordingly I reckon, so most of the worst should be over now. Added a spread bet. GLALTH. Next time I will listen to Paul Scott when he says something is overvalued! | runthejoules
05/9/2018 08:07 | Results look fine and guidance as expected. Good to have confirmation about timing for the 4th franchise. Upside of it being based on their own IP is they dont have to pay royalties to the film studio; downside is that the game needs to be good as it won't have the franchise brand name to sell it on its own! Happy continuing to hold... | adamb1978
05/9/2018 08:06 | "Subject to Frontier's disclosure obligations as an AIM company, it is the Board's intention to make announcements about future franchises at the optimum time for the success of that particular franchise. This may be some time after the start of a particular project, and not necessarily at the time of the signature of an agreement with a development or IP partner." | speedsgh
05/9/2018 08:04 | I remain bemused as to why Berenberg initiated coverage the week before results. All very odd. | mad foetus
05/9/2018 08:04 | "We aim to accelerate our output to achieve one major launch every 12 months or so, but this will not require us to increase our workforce linearly because supporting existing franchises typically requires less resource than creating new ones." | speedsgh
05/9/2018 07:59 | Everything as expected. No surprises. Exciting times ahead. | liam1om
05/9/2018 07:56 | Liberum Capital reiterated Buy Peel Hunt reiterated Buy | kamitora
05/9/2018 07:55 | Ok.... So we get an "own IP" announcement from June 2019 onwards and... maybe something thereafter. The latter, hopefully, will be in the following calendar year. But there is no commitment to this roll-out strategy imv. | sogoesit
05/9/2018 07:54 | We are in FY19. So FY20 is 8 months away. Agree they could be clearer about the next release. But perhaps less risk if it is FDEV's own IP. | shanklin
05/9/2018 07:53 | FY19 is now - FY29 starts May 2019, iirc. | funkmasterp12
05/9/2018 07:52 | I wish these folks could write understandable English. Not the first time, imo, that there is lack of clarity. "Franchise four, which is based on our own un-announced IP, is now in full development and targeted for release in FY20, and two more new franchises are in earlier stages of development." "FY20" is 2 years away. So what's the expected announcement for next year ("FY19"), if anything? EDIT: Yes, phowdo, that's my conclusion too. | sogoesit
05/9/2018 07:51 | They've changed the narrative over the next franchise. Originally to be revealed at E3, based on some well-known brand/universe. Now its their own IP that will be 4th franchise. Suggests some changes/delays internally and increases uncertainty. | phowdo
05/9/2018 07:50 | Results look to be as expected. Board "Comfortable" with 2019 Rev F'casts of £75m - £88m (£2018 £34.2m). Next release using own IP in FY 20. (after May 2019). 2 more games in early development. Record trading since period end. Happy to hold & ignore short term markets. | martinthebrave
05/9/2018 07:47 | Today's EBITDA is 9% above Liberum's forecasts. They maintain their 1800p price target. Good to see the excitement for the future and the solid performance of both ED and PC. Happy to hold for what are likely to be stellar results this year. | rivaldo
05/9/2018 07:46 | A positive outlook with revenue doubling from 2018. "The Board is comfortable with the current range of analyst revenue projections of GBP75 million to GBP88 million for FY19 (the year ending 31 May 2019), a substantial increase over the GBP34 million achieved in FY18." | alotto
05/9/2018 07:42 | No bad thing btw! | funkmasterp12 |
