Seems someone wants it to stick on 666 the number of the beast! |
Silver just stormed through the 50-day to MXN631, +2.3%. Gold jumped to MXN55498, +1.4%. Same % rises for silver and gold in Sterling as gold burst through £2200 and looking likely to close at a new record. Why are FRES shares not flying? |
Tripletop1 - ah, I see … a potential corner coupled with a possibly fraudulent imbalance between physical and paper stocks.
Thanks for the link, and that makes sense, but in the meantime, there’s still good money to be made range trading while the swings are profitable. And range trading is fun too. 🙂 |
j5thumbs,
You may wish to acquaint yourself with what's happening in the Silver Market. This might go some way to helping understand how trader465's prediction might NOT look as silly as it first seems on face value |
Trader, are you the reincarnation of Nelson Bunker Hunt? Lol ! I’ll be selling 50% of mine once it hits upper 700’s again … I don’t share your optimism about £20 with Trump about to unleash tariffs on p.v. panels and other Chinese goods. Not for a while, anyway. |
trader465..
sounds bonkers to write, but once the silver suppression is defeated and it goes to $50 then $100+ you have my permission to re-post your targets once they have fallen
:) |
Its not, try hitting the refresh button
When you see £20 on the screen its time to sell half and let the rest run to £50 |
How is this still £6? |
Gold setting new Sterling highs at £2175. |
MXN gold picking up bit now. +1.02% today, at MXN54383. Only about 3% or so of its closing ATH in MXN and 0.65% off closing ATH in Sterling at current £2157. |
Dec 28 silver did not quite make $35, closing at $34.82. PMs continue a three week run of edging up in all currencies, though. Silver MXN616. Gold's £2145 is less than 1% off its closing all time high now. |
HOC is 21st... they're normally fairly close. |
Q4 was 24th Jan last year but their calander hasnt been updated yet for 2025 so a coulple of weeks away I'd say |
There should be a production report this month |
Dec 28 futures look like they will close back above $35. Their 2024 high was $38.93 ad low $25.19. Why are FRES shares not higher? |
At MXN612, silver continues the Christmas pattern of edging up, but it will soon have to contend with a falling 50-day, at MXN627. Gold is already playing with its 50-day, at MXN53860, after also edging up tentatively over Christmas, but to no obvious outcome as yet. 200-days continue to set new records, with silver more than doubling and gold trebling over 10-years, while FRES shares remain not far above lows of their 450p-2000p 10-year range. |
They haven't updated the financial calendar for 2025 so we're in the dark are far as full year production |
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, Hem007. I’m also holding some from the 700’s as well as lower price points. When FRES hit 775 at the end of October, I unloaded 25% of my remaining holdings - now kicking myself for not shifting the lot. C’est la vie. Hindsight… 😂 |
Miners are all very much unloved currently. If that doesn't change soon, I doubt double figures here any time soon. Hope I'm wrong. I'm holding from the 700s. |
I don't think we'll see the mid 500's but perhaps a dip into the 590's? Support is about 612p.
Sliver maybe down on the day or week but average silver is up 25% over the year, and FRES are on track to meet production. I hold for full year financials in March
Half year percentage growth in pretax was 480%..... 'Profit from continuing operations before net finance costs and income tax and profit before income tax of US$235.2m and US$277.8m, up 189.7% and 480.4%, respectively'
Q3 gold production up 20% 'Quarterly attributable gold production of 156.8 koz, increased 20.6% vs. 2Q24, predominantly due to higher ore grade and volume of ore processed at Herradura'
Full year profit in March 2025 should be well over $500m, that's more than both the last two years combined and, they have exceeded last years profit at half year this year, so I'm expecting fireworks in March |
If we could predict the future, GeoffT, we'd be billionaires instead of gamblers posting on an advfn bb. 😁 |
12 months ago: Silver spot MXN409, 200-day MXN413, FRES 580p. Now: Silver spot MXN591, 200-day MXN551, FRES 629p. |
FRES holding up surprisingly well at 630 considering the last time silver was down at this current level of 28.83 on Sept. 12th, Fres was trading at only 537. And that’s despite all the bad news coming though about Trump tariffs on solar panels etc.
I’m not topping up yet, though … FRES may still drop into the 500’s. |
